My second hand stoke levels were through the roof man haha. Such a cool experience. That should’ve been my car.
Video of the whole day should be up later tonight.

Thanks for your terrific build thread and all your help JT! I honestly couldn't have done it without you and this community.

The shop provided me the 10 Dyno graph files. I just don't know how to view them lol

I haven't had much time to look over the car since the Dyno day. I plan on looking at the plugs, confirming timing stayed put, and inspected both the crank and cam sensors.

At the 4:57 minute mark of Frausty's video you can hear the suspected boost leak reveal itself at 37psi. It sounds almost like the BOV is prematurely discharging. Tuner said when he decided to throw the tune another couple psi, it took a bit of extra wgdc and still didn't change from 36psi much. Sounds like I'll need to boost leak test above 37psi. I'm sure at that test pressure it will sound similar and I'll hear it.

...when you said "No Oil pressure"

But damn, 600+!!! I like how clean your engine bay is with the undermounted pipe. Beautiful work.

I was able to confirm timing didn't move. Helps to have the 20th tooth marked with a paint pen and a welded reluctor wheel. I swapped out my plugs per tuners advice.

Car hooks in 3rd and pulls all the way to 8k in 4th now. I recently down sized from 18 to 17 inch wheels in the front and mounted some 255/40/17 Nitto nt01 tires. These things are stiiiicky. The car is a blast to drive.

@StayFrausty and I went for a canyon cruise yesterday to give the car a good shakedown. I'm really happy and satisfied with how the car performs. The racing seat held my ass in tight, while pushing through every turn. These tires weren't even squealing on us and the rear end would slightly pull out with the fortune autos. We ended our drive with some pie and cinnamon rolls in Julian. [IMG][IMG]

I've developed an intermittent idle surge up to 2k rpm. It's damn annoying. It's not a vacuum leak, as fuel trims are flat and unchanged. I strongly believe it's the CS throttle body. At this point, I'll swap back to the stock throttle body. The first one I bought was used off Fbook and threw a DTC. The seller had CS warranty it and sent me a brand new one.

Actually it could be your tune and/or your check valve for the pcv system. How are you set up?

This routing. Both cans have check valves and VTA on top. [IMG][IMG]

Vent only? Could be pulling in unmetered air; if the check valves crack under moderate vacuum (instead of very light vacuum) then that can cause surging. A quick test would be to clamp the hose going into the intake and do a short re-test.

I'll give this test a go and see what results I get. I would assume the check valves damond provides under the filters would have the proper crack pressure though. It's intermittent, but when it happens, it's bad. With the clutch engaged the car will rev up to 2k and propel forward on the freeway in traffic.

someone else just had a similar issue and their tuner said it was radiator fans pushing air into the maf.

Fan isn't on. Coolant temp is nowhere near engagement point when the surging occurs.
