Regulators that support carb and FI do a poor job at both. I had an aerormotive and the return orifice is too large so it would surge if you set it up for FI. This would cause the return line to rattle and pressure would regulate but bounce a few psi. It was not smooth as the out flow was too big so it was like trying to fill a Gatorade bottle from a fire hose. I ended up fixing it by just getting a FI only regulator and that worked great.

welp, the AEM reg. is out and the fuel labs FPR is in. No issues so far. Still can't believe how awful the car ran with the CS throttle body. It just didn't play well with my setup for some reason lol

Did you adjust the tables for it?

No. The car was tuned for 40psi pre vacuum with the AEM reg. So that's where I set it at on the replacement fuel lab reg.

Derp. You mean the CS throttle body. The car was tuned with the CS throttle body on.

If the CS tbody wasn't in your mod list for your tuner to adjust for then I'd wager you had issues yeah. There is at least one table that would need to be adjusted to account for the increased flow area of it, and if that wasn't done, I could see you having a bad time.

Interesting. I thought others have bolted it right up and not needed any corrections to their tunes.

ECU might correct for some of it automatically but there is a throttle mapping table for a reason.

It was included in my mods list at the time of purchasing the tune. So I don't know

Intermittent rev hang and idle would not settle. Idle would pulse between 900 to 2000 rpm. Same issue between 3 different CS throttle bodies. For example, i did not have the issue during the dyno day and then shortly after that it would be intermittent. I talked with Zach at CS and he said its not uncommon for a little plastic gear inside the throttle body to shear and they're working with their supplier to correct this. I just kept playing the CS lottery to see if i would get a "good one"

You have any logs of this happening with throttle duty cycle and position?
I've got rev hang right now where it won't drop to below like 2k rpm until I'm nearly at a complete stop, but I don't have a CS TB.

Unfortunately, i do not have logs of this happening. It was annoying as hell though. Tuner recommended i just swap back to stock throttle body. I refused for awhile and i am glad i did at this point. I have the CS throttle body and it does not need to be returned. Would you like to dissect the thing and report for the community? Just like we did with the EBCS?

Does it feel like it's broken? Also who was your tuner?

It doesnt appear broken. This one has less than 500mi on it. Although, i do not know if its related but when you shake it, something internally is loose and rattling. Same same tuner as always, Captain KR. William Drank.

Well I suppose I can try and install it to see if I can tune out any issues and / or diagnose what the issue might be.
Send it my way if you want.

Honestly, i do not want to sell it with the possibility of it being bad for the next person. If you're willing to confirm its good and my problem was tune related all along, that would be very very neat.

I had a weird rev hang issue that turned out to be my idle speed bump thingy on the power steering module, I unplugged it and rev hang went away.

Looks like it might just be a gen1 thing, but this here: sorry meant to say the power steering pump, the yellow wire that clips to the top and bumps idle when you turn the wheel while stopped.

Huh, I figured that was just some kind of pressure sensor for an idiot light. So if you unplug it and touch it to the block it will raise the idle?
