I recently upgraded from my V2b Accessport to a V3 a few months ago. Due to not driving my car everyday, I just got around to grabbing a few datalogs tonight. I had already updated all the firmware for Accessport Manager and my ATR was up to date from right before Cobb took it down.

Plugged the AP in, fired up Accessport Manager and it showed the four logs I took. Went to save the files by clicking on the "save datalogs to computer" button just like I always used to with my V2. Chose my destination folder, clicked save. However, when I went to open my destination folder the files were not there. I went through the process again, but this time when I clicked save I got a message saying that the files already existed and if I wanted to replace them. So I did, but still nothing shows up in the destination folder.

With my V2 I never had any problems. It would take the .csv file off of the AP and save it into the folder as an Excel file so that I could open it and view it or attach it to an email to send to my tuner. With the V3 it's almost like the files are being saved, but they are saving as a .csv and not converting to the Excel file. They seem to then not be showing up in the destination folder.

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue before and might have some advice to offer. I have contacted Cobb and am awaiting a response, but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask if someone else might have a solution. Does Windows not recognize the .csv file and that's why it's not showing up in the folder? Because even if it didn't convert to an Excel file as long as it was showing up as saved onto my computer I could open it with a different .csv reader I'm sure. But with no file even showing up as being saved I'm kind of at a loss. I'm running Windows 7 BTW if it makes a difference. Same computer and OS that I had no problems with when saving files off of my V2.

Thanks in advance for anyone who may have an answer.

Try saving somewhere else. Also make sure you are saving where you think you are. Do a search for the file.

I have no idea if this is possible, but make sure the files aren't hidden, or try resaving to desktop like raider suggested

I've tried saving to multiple places. Flash drives, external hard drives, other folders, desktop, etc. When I search for the file it states there is no file found.

Could be 1: open AP manager by right clicking and run as administrator, there must be permission issues.

Or 2: Also, it sounds like your using the APV2 software with an APv3 which does not sound like a winning combination.

or 3: Maybe there is an updated AP Manager for V3 which anyone should be able to provide you as it is not SN based. Does anyone have a NEW AP Manager installer for APv3 ? Maybe AP manager is still avail to DL ? try getting an updated version? Maybe your AP manager was released before APv3 was even avail which means it may not support it ?

I updated Accessport manager when I got my V3. It is the most up to date version and works with both V2 and V3. I can use my V2 from my other car with no problems. I can add maps to my V3 no problems. It's only saving from the V3 where it stops working.

I uninstalled and re-downloaded Accessport manager from Cobb's site but am still having the same issue. I went to my wife's computer and installed Accessport manager...and of course it works no problems. So, I now know that it is definitely an issue with my computer and not the AP itself which is a sigh of relief. I guess my computer is just blocking it for some reason. I have disabled all firewalls and anti-virus software but the problem persists.

At least I have access to my logs now by using my wife's computer. I don't always have her computer accessible to me though, so hopefully I can figure out a way to get it all to work on my computer like it used to.

Did you try right clicking installer to run as administrator or the program itself you can run as admin. Seems like a permissions issue

I haven't yet, but it's on my list to do. Been busy with fixing my truck, haven't had much time to do much else haha.
