Well I figured I'd finally post up a build thread. I plan to have something that will probably scare the shit out of me every time I step on the gas. Preferably 700+ is a number goal that comes to mind but that's down the road. I am tuned by the one and only Mark Gibson.

I bought my car on April 7th, 2015. Drove all the way from Cincinnati, OH up to to Minneapolis, MN, about 11 hours one way haha. I did stop in Chicago at a friend's place on the way up but on the way back I drove straight through. It was pretty rough but well worth it, the car only had 13000 miles on it. This is my first turbo'd car and really first car I've set off to modify. It has been my best and worst purchase that I have made. I'm sure some of you can attest to that same thing haha.

My car was basically stock when I picked it up, it had a CS RMM and CS SRI. I went from basically stock to a fully bolted K04 in a few months. I kept wanting more power out of my car. I was making about 330/370 on a 33% e mix which I was happy with at the time. I had been talking with some of the North East Ohio guys about upgrading and no one in my area had a Precision turbo.

Wouldn't you know a gen 2 5858 goes up for sale around Christmas time later that year. Soooo
    [IMG]

Got help with the installation on the 5858, you can read about all of the gory details here if you choose to.
    http://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/rd-motorsportz.2961/#post-23499

To pick up where that kind of left off and more importantly where my car currently is. I have a Gen 2 6266, custom 6th port with 2200 cc injectors being controlled by a Split Second AIC, WOT box (Literally the best purchase I have made for my car), custom 4" whale peen RamFab intake, JMF intake mani with meth bungs that don't work (sad face), CP-E exhaust mani, Kozmic downpipe and dumptube, Tial 44mm EWG, Ultimate Racing cat-back with titanium 4" tips, Grimspeed 3 port EBCS, Bosch 3 bar MAP sensor with PNP harness, trilogy of Damond mounts, Damond OCC and EGR delete, BC Racing coilovers, JBR camber arms, Stop Tech slotted rotors and Hawk HP+ brake pads. That's pretty much it for power and suspension. Oh all of this is on the stock block and stock clutch, I like to live life on the edge lolz. I have a few aesthetic mods: Bayson R front lip, CS shifter, CS shifter bushings, CS heat shield , 30% tinted windows. Also I have Nitto NT05s (225/40/18) which I really enjoy they have held up all summer of beating on them and do fine in the rain which is a bit surprising considering the tread pattern. I think that's pretty much it.
Here's the 5858 versus the 6266. Not really a huge difference other than the compressor wheel.
There she is under the knife for the 6266 install.

Now my plans for my car, I would love to get these wheels because I haven't seen anyone run them on a speed yet. No I wasn't being sarcastic and they aren't RPF1s.

I actually recently talked to a guy about a ported 6466 up for sale but I can't really justify it, especially since I literally just installed the 6266. When I first started thinking about my build I thought for sure I was going to go with the 6466 but the price of the 6266 wasn't too bad so I couldn't pass it up. I would of waited another month if I would of known the 6466 was going up for sale. Maybe the stars will align one day.

I plan on having @Need2pu build my motor, I have a block waiting at his shop to be machined and everything when I get the money. It's going to be able to handle whatever I throw at it, meaning it's probably gonna cost a shit ton of money haha. I purchased a set of Manley H-beam rods but Kevin's motor is going to be done before mine so he bought them off of me. Other than that I haven't bought anything else for the motor. Tuition was due and that kind of put a hold on things for now. When I can start accumulating some more cash I'll start throwing money his way to get the motor underway.

At some point I'm going to be installing my GV style grill. My long term plans are to create a mold from the one I have and make a carbon fiber one from the mold. I actually have all the stuff to make the mold, I just need to practice. I initially sanded down the grill and painted it but ruined it when I sprayed a clear coat on top. I need to go back and sand it down again. It shouldn't be too hard make the mold though. From what I've read about making molds, you need to have the part you're making the cast off of clear of any imperfections so it doesn't get relayed to the mold. Here's the grill so far, I think this was before any paint hit it. I put 3-4 coats of Satin black and wasn't crazy about it but figured I'd throw the clear on which ruined it like I said. Oh well it's all a learning experience.

If you have any questions about my build or just wanna comment, feel free to do so. I'll try to keep this updated now that I took the time actually create it.

Edit: I tried to update most of the pictures in my thread after photobucket took their free hosting away. I didn't have some of them, maybe I'll get around to the rest eventually

Your goal warrants I - Beams no? Probably a good thing you unload the H - beams.

Good luck with the build, you have a pretty solid setup so far!!

Thanks man! The H-Beams were the Manley tough series or something like that. I was told they were 900 HP rods.

As for the 5858, it is for sale @KiwiFlavor

Nice lol! I was just trolling and figured I'd ask anyway, That turbo needs a custom downpipe correct?

Haha all good. Nope you can buy a downpipe from Kozmic that fits up to the turbo perfectly. It's a Vband connection so you would need a new exhaust mani and downpipe. Then you would need an external wastegate and dump tube.

I'll race you. Oh wait, your clutch.....lmao I got jokes too :)
[doublepost=1471988100][/doublepost]Oh to add to my thread. I've been having some issues recently with my fuel pressure dropping at WOT. Everything was fine until one day I went WOT in 3rd, my HPFP pressure dropped to like 1100 at the top of 3rd. I'm actually shocked my motor didn't blow. I assume the 6th port saved me.

    Steps I have taken:
    Cleaned my AT internals
    Cleaned the spill valve
Still had issues so I ordered new internals
Installed CS internals, still dropping but not as bad
    Steps to take:
Ordered a new pressure relief valve (ordered OEM, didn't really care for that extra 5% IDC by getting the 1950 PTP for 300 bucks)
If that doesn't work then I'll probably buy a used pump or borrow one to see if my actual pump is bad. It's hard to believe my pump is only 3 years old and it's failing but you never know. My original K04 only had 15000 miles on it when the seals blew.

Okay got my fuel pressure issue resolved, it ended up being my relief valve for the HPFP. I'm super relieved (pun intended) because I was sick of not being able to hit boost fully. I took a trip up to Cleveland to get help from my buddies up there. I wired up my coil pack harness to my split second controller and installed the injectors since I was borrowing @Need2pu's stuff. Found that my RD wire tuck was pretty interesting. When I swap to a new harness I'll get some pictures up to show some of the questionable things. It works for now but I don't like how it was done so I'm going to do my own wire tuck.

Also got a new oil return line that took me forever to get attached to the block, I kept having to make a line but finally got it attached. I had help with installing my new in tank pump since the one I ordered initially didn't fit.

Performed a boost leak check and found there was clamp missing on the brake booster line coming from the JMF. We also found that a coupler wasn't tight enough on the hot side piping connecting to the intercooler. We got all that buttoned up then had to load my R4 map on my SS controller. @Sho saved the day with his idea of moving the cable to same USB port that the flash drive was plugged into. That program from SS is a PITA when trying to connect to it.

After doing all of that, my car started up perfectly. What we did fixed my vacuum leak that I was having which was awesome. The car drives great now, no more bogging when coming to a stop or AFRs going super rich then shooting up to be super lean. Left the shop arounf 1:30 am and had a 3.5 hour drive back to cinci ahead of me. Did my first WOT pull and everything was in check. Fuel pressure stayed up and AFRs were on point. Took a log and threw it vdyno, it spit out a solid power curve and perfect TQ output for a stock block. Now that I'm back to tuning it'll be back to hurting ricer's feelings.

I was up for almost 24 hours and when I got home I fell asleep in my car sitting in the garage hahah. Thank god I turned my car off o_O

This is a good looking build you have coming along. I am sure once you get started building that block you'll really enjoy yourself! Why would you say your WOT Box was your favorite purchase for your car?

Thanks man! Yeah, I can't wait to build the block but it'll probably be next year before I can finish piecing everything together.

For the WOT box, I say it's my favorite thing because it makes my car shoot fire balls when flat-foot shifting hahah. Who doesn't love fire balls?
[doublepost=1472610281][/doublepost]So yesterday was awful, I started the day on my way to my 8AM class at UC when I start hearing this ticking noise then followed by a loud pop. Had to make it suspenseful because I thought my motor was gone haha but the noise was coming from my fender liner on the drivers side. This one was my fault, I forgot to tighten the three bottom 8mm and the liner must of gotten caught on a bump in the road because it ripped out on the highway. Pulled over looking for oil and found my liner jammed under my car which was a bit of a relief.

For the next issue, everything was fine immediately proceeding the install of all my parts but when I got home the next day I smelled e85 when I would come to a stop. I honestly didn't think anything of it the first day, just thought it smelled because I spilled some from swapping my 6th port injectors. I mentioned it to @Sho and got to thinking it would of evaporated by now. So with my car running the following day I checked all my fuel lines and sure enough it was leaking. Pretty bad too, it was a pretty constant drip just sitting at idle so I can imagine it was worse while driving. The part that was leaking was my AN adapter fitting ( the picture is kinda blurry but it's the black fitting on the HPFP line.
Called Summit and they overnight-ed a new fitting which arrived at 10AM today. Took about 10 minutes to swap out and everything has been solid so far. Did a couple of WOT pulls and triple checked everything to make sure it wasn't leaking anymore.

Now for the real zinger, I was on my way to work (I work a night shift) and I'm sitting at a redlight minding my own business when dump truck decides to rear end me. I'm sitting there stopped, the light turns green, the dump truck dude claimed he slipped off his clutch hitting me 3-4 times (don't remember exactly how many because it happened so quick). I yelled some choice expletives as you can imagine, I'll give you a hint it started with "F". I pulled up a little past the intersection, got out of my car and gave the general WTF sign by raising my hands up and giving him a pissed off look. He signaled that he was going to pull up off the road so I got back in my car to pull forward. We were both okay which was the more important thing but kind of hard to see that in the heat of things. We got out and he was apologetic then explained that he slipped off the clutch. I was understanding and said it happens. Called the police and filled out a police report then the cop sent me on my way.
Here's the carnage, it's not TOO bad but obviously enough to piss me off. Appears to be just the hatch and the right taillight being scuffed, there could be more internal damage which I couldn't see since the hatch was smashed closed.

I'm trying to decide what I want to do. I've had several people suggest getting a carbon fiber hatch which crossed my mind but I don't want to look like a ricer. Really depends if the insurance company cuts me a check or wants to pay the exact amount it ends up costing after the fact. I also thought about getting a carbon fiber one then if I don't like then I'll just trade a friend that has a silver pu since I already have had three people ask me to do that haha. I already got one estimate which was from the Mazda dealership by me and they quoted me $1700 for the repair. Not really sure if that's a fair number or not but I'm going to get a second and probably third opinion so I can compare prices.

What size AN is tee'd out of that fuel line adapter?

It's a -6AN line, which is running to the fuel rail for the additional injectors.

Fuckin A, I've searched all over Summit and could never find this. So it's a female -6AN on one side and female 1/8NPT on the other?

Edit: Nevermind read it wrong, it's just 2 female 1/8NPT ports.

Haha yeah two female ports on the quick connect fitting, one of them is plugged from summit but I presume you could add a fuel pressure gauge there if you wanted to. The second link I added with the two male connections, the NPT side mates to the quick connect and the AN to the hose end.

Yea, I already have such an adapter on my car. I was wondering if someone makes one that has a port larger than 1/8NPT. I wasn't sure if it'd be a restriction or not to fuel flow, guess not.

Ah gotcha, yeah I don't think so. I know @Need2pu was somewhere in the 600 range with this same 6th port setup so I'm not sure how much fuel you're planning on running but he didn't have any issues with that as far as I know.
