Mod list in my sig. I have a FMIC with a Treadstone TR8C (basically a TR8, but with 3" inlet/outlet located in the center of the IC instead of at the bottom) and a JBR piping kit. When I eventually build and go EFR7163, I'll go under-mount.

Did you read through my methanol installation/tuning adventure thread? I put a lot of info in there that you may find useful, including lots of VDynos, etc.

My extensive logging ended the debate empirically for me. The short of it is the less power you're making, the less of an impact it'll make.

There's another similar debate: stock or 3" exhaust. You hear folks say all the time it's a "sound" mod only. While that may be true for some, it's most certainly not true for all. Even fully bolted/ethanol mix K04 guys can gain 10-12whp in some regions with full 3". When I put my BNR on at got "stuck" at 360whp, going to a full 3" had me put down 395whp the very next time I pulled logs (exact same map and similar ambients).

In the end, truth is that 3" is very rarely only a sound mod unless you only have a few bolt-ons and no ethanol. Same thing for me with catless testpipe vs. full DP. It's been said it's only a 5whp difference. I saw 10-15whp difference on ethanol K04 (pre-BNR era for me).

@Awafrican, life has been keeping me super busy, haven't had anytime to do anything.

Looking into getting some gauges over the winter, thinking boost, oil presure/temp.
Since my stock boost gauge is useless now.

Also will probably pickup a new head unit.

Funny you link that, it was the one I was actually considering. As for boost gauge, I still don't know if i should go expensive get defi or something of that quality or get something cheaper like a glowshift

I think these will do well, seems to be a good mid ground, they're probably my pick of choice right now

Why no CS? I like the fact their boost gauge goes up to 30psi. I figure I'll be running around 28 with the 7163, so it'd be a good gauge for me. Then again, I could always monitor with the Cooling Mist Progressive Controller.

I've become anti CS over the last year, seeing the way the "test" products before release I'm less than impressed, not to mention their quality to me isn't that great AND due to their small size shipping is ridiculous so not worth trying to get up here in Canada. But I'm not about to turn this into a CS bash session.

Other than the anti-cs stance, was wondering if there is anything wrong with their gauges though? I think only Toycop has them so far that I know of.
