Thanks for doing this! I'll get working on stuff.

I'm going to see what the group rate might be if we bought multiple sets....but first. @Enki we should get some measurements and figure out if the cables mount at the same point on the 3.

If I can muster some fucks, I'll throw a tape measure at the cables and see what they come back with.

Well, I did (part of) my part if this thing is going to happen. Being 1/8" this wont be the cheapest, but we will see where it ends up. Capture.JPG

I got up to about .39 fucks today so I gave it a whirl. Couldn't get the damn thing straight enough by myself for an accurate measurement but it's likely somewhere near 57-58"; once I get another set of hands to assist, I'll do it properly, promise.

Let me know if you gents want a hand with any of it. Can do this with relative ease (he already made a drawing), but don't want to step on toes.

I'd be in for a set too if this goes to production! Especially if the shifting is really improved that much

The shifting is better, slightly less vague, but I definitely don't think it's enough to warrant going through the trouble of the install if your cables aren't screwed up already. There's less slop in general, but it doesn't fix the inherit slop that's still in the transmission. If you've got the car apart for a build I could see it being easy. I mainly did it to improve reliability.

After a few weeks with it, the cables are starting to move a bit easier than before, which is nice. They were a little sluggish to begin with. I've fiddled with the side to side adjustment, and it's gone from super notchy to a more compliant feel. I'm not sure which I prefer, I'll keep messing with it.

Hopefully this coming week I'll get the mechanical stop made and installed, possibly with a quasi-gated setup.

If you guys can add it to your arsenal, I'd say do it. I may be an engineer, but things end up going the way of hillbilly style if they do not line up correctly. I'd say DM would be a little more professional about and it would probably make people's lives easier.

I take it you're still among the seeing, despite your "home brew" solutions.

That's an old wives tale, derived from the fact that back then they made the shit using copper tube radiators full of methanol based coolant that weren't cleaned out properly prior to use. Byproducts of fermenting don't include shit that breaks down to formaldehyde in the human body (like methanol does, and why it gives you a headache when you get a face full of it).

Edit: Not really an old wives tale as it did happen, but you get the idea. Home made brew is perfectly safe to consume.

Ethanol = tasty (or gets the job done, if that's what you're looking for). Methanol = not so much. Very dangerous to humans for a multitude of reasons, ESPECIALLY if ingested, LOL.

I'm totally aware of the Eth/Meth distinction. I was just giving you a hard time :)
