Regarding the oil change with this bar installed: I found that while the initial surge of oil out of the drain plug did contact the bar, it did not splatter with enough force to cause any excess mess. In fact, my first oil change after having installed the bar was my cleanest ever, haha. It's something to make note of when positioning your catch tray but wasn't something that, based on my experience, I'd say should be of much actual concern in terms of messiness.

Awesome! Can you please let me know when I can get a return shipping label and have the revised bar sent to me? Or would it be better if I called in and talked to customer service. They said they'd call me back in a day or so, but I haven't heard anything yet.

    Thanks!

Edit: I just sent an email since my voicemail hasn't been returned yet. I heard you guys are swamped. Something about Luke being out?

Ha. Typical. 2010 also has a different engine code....so there were 3 revisions of the DISI.

Prolly cause the very first 2010s had the flawed VVT design? They revised it early in the production run of the 2010s.

I think there are a lot more differences than you might think; not 100% on it though. Could be as simple as VVT, could be different rings or piston design or whatever. There's all sorts of stuff. *shrugs*

Be cool man; you're freaking Brett out. You got to ease him into having the door handle licked.

In other news Barett said he got the measurements they needed and would give me a buzz to do a test fit in the future.

I think they'll just need to shave the legs off the bottom of the bracket and maybe cut a relief for some of the weld material that's piled on to the vestigial bracket.

Regardless I think they'll figure out a way to make it work.
