Hey im Alex I have a 2010 MS3 and last season i had a FBO GTX3071r and now im currently deployed and car is put up. But i have ordered The Borg Warner S362 SX-e and will be going top mount Turbo with either a fender or hood exit exhaust. I will be running a JMF maniold with 4x 2200cc injectors with a split controller and AEM pump off a fuel cell running 100% methanol. I also have a N2mb WOT box, will be running the New Gaurdian Angel V3 as well . WIll be running a safe 450-470 whp tune while i build a Fully forged and sleeved long block with full head work on the side

WIll keep updating as my wife recieves packages at the house lol. I dont get home until summer so it will all be ready to go in when i get there and then to the dyno!!

Here are pictures of my car before i left for deployment IMG_6755.JPG IMG_5308.JPG IMG_6660.JPG IMG_5796.JPG . Intake, downpipe, and turbo all already sold

One of my buddies tried to do this on a 2012 with a stock block. Seemed to hold up well. But after a few thousand miles he was driving to work, engine let go. Not saying this will happen to everyone, but it sure made my sit down and think about the consequences.

That's the right attitude! Not giving any shits about ZOOM ZOOM, BOOM. I look forward seeing it completed. Prove to all these "over cautious hacks" on here, it can be done.

Is there a reason you don't want an air straightener in your intake? I was under the impression without a straightener your MAF reading would be off...

Oh, you're the guy that tags me on the Facebook new/used parts page lol. You ended up going with that cast $100 top mount manifold right?

You need a 4.5inch w/ straightener. I have one for sale in the FS section. You should buy it. Save some money

I tore my honeycomb out of my HTP 3.5" because it was causing wackiness when tuning the S3. No issues since. Idle is smooth as butter, too.

It's a good turbo. I had fun clearancing the block to fit mine.

Goodness, does that manifold cause the turbo to sit closer to the motor than most? Or is that just a giant turbo housing?
