I have started to assemble and prep the engine bay for the powerhouse to be mounted. The most frustrating and time consuming part right now is trying to find the right bolt for the right hole.

Just cross thread everything. It won't come out then!

    Crapatalk, it sucks for free!

Just hammer a raw rod flat on one end for grip and let the receiving threads cut a new bolt for you.

You guys are full of great ideas!
    Power steering banjo?

I'm going for it! Not sure if the line requires different size bolts on each side or the same. So far I only found one, maybe the other on is on the pump...that I misplaced.

There aren't many banjos on a 3; just the PS and turbo IIRC.

Goddammit man! You're giving me a headache just watching this part....All the ripparts I've done each item is PS gets its own baggie and is labeled with a piece of paper inside because sharpie wears off the bag.....But yes 2 banjo for PS might me 2 different sizes (diameter) so it'll either work or not and Im 90% it's a different size than the turbo banjo bolts

Well fuck man, how do you think I feel? Lol. I got boxes of random bolts, washers, and nuts. I got my transmission mounted to the block and just put bolts that fit. I don't know if they were the right ones or if they needed lock washers. Just put some blue lock tight on torqued then down to spec and went on my way.

I find myself looking at everyone's builds trying to figure out how everything is supposed to be ran. Like the other day, I looked and @Enki'S engine bay picture and figured out the way the PS lines were supposed to run. Sometimes I get lucky and bolts are left on the floor in certain how to pictures and I can match them up with the bolts that I have. A master bolt index would be nice.

This is why I bought a new head and block. Almost all the old bolts and shit were in the old engine and got transferred over to the new one. Only had to do 35 trips to the local hardware store to get the rest.

@Littleloogy mate I feel yeah, been there, so hop onto http://www.jimellismazdaparts.com search your part ie turbo... It'll bring up the schematic and show you how it runs and give you part #s which you can further check to see size of bolt...

Also running a wire brush over your bolt threads will clean then nicely to go in.

Happy to help when @Chemmedic; did his build we searched everything got it all printed with connection diagrams and used that to put his engine bay, so glad he made that discovery it saved us a lot of headaches

Seems like this build keeps going further down the rabbit hole. Good luck on it sir.

Yeah, more room for the gases to escape.

You're a smart person. These look like stop techs. I believe they as well as the CS Brake kit were installed backwards. I face palmed when I saw this one. It's almost like I'm being trolled by the seller. [IMG]

I didn't do shit. I went to remove the axle and when I set the rotor down I noticed the gouge.

Are the veins directional in the stoptech/centric slotted rotors? Theyre non directional in the solid discs

I honestly dont think it ever really matters which way they go. But i bet you will get 100 opinions saying both ways
[doublepost=1489627479][/doublepost]Hold that thought, the outside slots don't matter but some of the more expensive rotors have directional vanes on the inside. Good luck figuring that one out.

Whatever 125.45078 HC means. Found the numbers on the top of the rotors. Does not tell me right or left side, unfortunately.
