Pics of second failure mode? Only way I've heard it failing (in the 3.5 years I've been attached) is the fluid leaking scenario. Would like to see the snappy snappy.

You'll have to search. I've seen pics, but don't know where they were. Here's some concerning ones I found real quick:

And apparently the TMM can go full retard, too:

I've also only really heard about the bushing popping and dumping its fluid, which is what happened to mine. A full-on snapped mount would obviously be a more serious problem than what I experienced.

@Finch204, mine lasted a good 85-90k miles before giving up the ghost; no autox or hard launching - generally mostly rather tame driving on the street, really - and one track day last summer.

Good info, thanks guys. Sounds like an aftermarket PMM is an inevitable upgrade for me if I plan to keep the car up to 100k miles.

My stock PMM leaked. I went with JBR for a while but got tired of my rear view vibrating and got a free stocker from somebody. The k04 is probably more taxing on the mounts than larger turbo cars. When this one goes I'll try to find another stocker or go aftermarket with whoever has the most forgiving mount. I have a BSD so I'm not interested in stiff PMM.

I have the Damond on the way, but looking at my PMM it looks almost new. The rubber looks and feels flexible and there is no sign of any kind of leakage. Adding the CS Stage 2 RMM was reviewed elsewhere, but I am wondering if I should just keep the Damond as a standby just in case.

My car has 86K miles on it. I am going to spend the $ to get a CarFax on it to see if I can find out service records from the previous owners. I did find an old CS battery box in it, without the lid, so someone along the way must have at least known about CS or just found it on e-Bay. The thing is everything looks like it is in excellent shape. The struts are fine, the ball joints have little movement in them, it is not burning oil.... I must be blessed or something!

It's a fairly quick and easy job to swap the PMM so you could throw in the DM and if NVH is okay for you, keep the stock as backup; if NVH is too much after giving it a break-in period, swap back. Would be a shame to leave such a nice mount as the DM on the shelf.

I would sell the DM mount instead of keeping it on the shelf, they would sell quickly.

Since this is still Corksport's thread, going back to their product, does anyone have more reviews of this new stage 2 RMM? I want to hear more input NVH wise.

I am having the DM mount installed this week. I am interested in seeing how the 2 different mounts work together.

Going back to the CS, it has broken in and the NVH is truly minimal, noted mostly at warm-up.

Almost sounds like my cp-e stage 1 RMM. Tempting, but I need to sort out other stuff first before getting a new RMM. Notably, I need to look into a PMM first. I wonder if CS will also redesign their existing PMM...

The rear motor mount and passenger motor mount are both 15-min DIY jobs. Are you not doing them yourself? No tools, or just physically difficult for whatever reason?

I wouldn't say the PMM is quite a 15 minute job (especially the first time with relocating the ground wire), but under an hour for sure.

I was planning to swap out my current RMM for a DM but I am strongly leaning toward this new Stage 2; glad to hear it's working out so far

I'm dealing with 20+ years as a Paramedic and chronic back pain from multiple injuries. That, and I have worked very hard all of my life and now I can assist the employment of an excellent Mazda technician named Drew!

True. I went from aftermarket to aftermarket, which probably sped up the process a good deal.

No doubt; I've already pulled my DM PMM back out once, and it easily took less than half the time of the initial install, haha.

I moved my review of the DM mount to the MS3 Suspension section of the boards....kind of awkward using my favorite supplier's forum to describe another company's product. Bad form on my part. Sorry folks, especially you at Corksport!

Just installed the Stage 2 RMM last night. Really easy install. The brace bar was a tight fit to get the bolts lined up but it worked out well. NVH is noticeable but minimal and tolerable for daily driving. Shifts are smoother and believe it or not, torque steer has been reduced pretty significantly. I did some pulls from 2nd last night and the steering wheel doesn't try to take off, it stays straight.

Anyone else have this installed yet?

Yep! Mine has been in a couple of weeks, along with Damond PMM. On Friday I am getting the CS blue insert put into the TMM and then I will check off "Motor Mounts" from my Restore List! Yes, there is an increase in NVH, but the beast has been tamed when it comes to steering and shifting! I love it!
