    Powder

Maybe a little longer than 2 weeks exact, but we're progressing on this nicely.

Not entirely sure if we'll go that route, simply as we'd have to do a markup on the calipers, and rotors, and they can be had elsewhere of much cheaper. We'll most likely offer just a simple kit with brackets & hardware.

Side note, this is so far just on the MS6. For the MS3 we'll begin work on that soon.

Anyone know of a cheap outlet for GM parts? Rock Auto (I really hate them, and they'd be aftermarket). Some other alternative for low-priced genuine GM/AC Delco stuff?

I forgot to ask, what year range are the CTS-V calipers from - trying to source them. And what year rotors - are they from a Hyundai Genesis? This is what I found by inputting a 2007 CTS-V:

    upload_2017-5-18_11-2-22.png

Not a bad price for OEM CTS-V Brembo calipers/hardware. This + brackets + rotors (which are available in 2-piece, IIRC, but at much higher $$$) should cost a good deal less than the aftermarket options and perform excellently. Anyone know a good source for the Brembo 355mm rotors that go with these (found on Genesis'es too, I think).

Update: looks like the Genesis R-Spec rotors are only 340mm instead of the 355mm size that goes with the 4-pots. That's ~14". The 6-pot newer calipers go with even bigger 15" rotors, and I'm pretty sure they're 6-bolt hubs too.

I wonder if the 340mm Genesis rotors are compatible with the 4-pots, and also if they'll work on 17" wheels.

What rotors did you guys use? Have a manufacturer/part #?

My understanding is it will just be the bracket and hardware to attach the calipers.

Won't our lines screw onto the new calipers? Thought they were universal, or easily modified with a simple x to y size adapter?

Looks like all-in this may end up costing as much, if not more than the BBK from CS. Worth it?

I've considered the costs implied after having these installed completely on the car vs. other big brake kits available. I'm interested to see if someone sets up a low cost bundle of the parts needed aside from the mounting hardware from Matt Damond. I've also heard about swapping over Ford Focus RS Brembos.

If someone can get me accurate measurements on the MS3 caliper mounts I can cross reference OEM RS CAD. I cant remember is the rears are the same size as ours or if they are larger. Either way they are the same as the ST and will bolt up. The issue with RS brakes would be cost and clearance. The factory RS wheels have some nutty geometry on the inside of the spoke to clear the 4 pistons. CJ pony parts lists a kit for the STs for $1,440

I'd be interested for a 6 even tho I just got new pads and rotors and new SS lines, but fuck it the big boy build could use some nice 4 pots to back the rest of the shit up

We're track testing our first prototype of these this Friday! If all works out well expect adapters in the very near future. For the 6, it'll be adapters, mounting bolts, and new crush washers for the brake lines. We won't be offering a full kit with calipers and rotors, as you can source them cheaper, and we'll have all the specs and P/N's listed on the product page when these are ready.

Rotors are Mustang Cobra rotors, we went with these as they're directional, plentiful, and cheap.

The calipers are CTSV REARS. We are picking up a set of fronts to test as well.

Don't know all the years for fitment, but we'll have all that info once kits are ready.

For the 6, we'll include new crush washers, stock lines work. For the 3 still won't know until we start test fitting. But it will need new lines.

We might actually scratch the idea of the RS brakes for the MS3. Custom rotors would be needed or the RS rotors need to be machined. The rotors are massive too. With it all mounted up it didn't fit my ST 18" wheels like it does the snowflake ST 18" wheels with 5mm spacers.

We're talking about for Genpu's, right? So what year range Cobra rotors and what year range rear CTS-V calipers? Also, any idea what wheel size this conversion will require? 17s okay??

Ah, I thought we knew enough to know what calipers would work already, despite not test fitting (based upon proposed rotor dimensions alone). Thanks for clarifying.

Matt told me that him and Farhan were going to test out the setup at the track this past Friday. Hoping to see some good feedback <3

I can confirm that both @Matt@DM and @Farhan@DM are still alive after their track day.
