The problem started when I found and fixed a small coolant leak on the turbo feed for my GTX3071. I had to remove TIP, battery, box etc to get to it. Once I got it all back together I am down to around spring pressure (19lbs) and not able to hit my load targets. The boost pressure is hit or miss now ranging from 17-20 psi max on a log.

Here are the things I have checked to see if it was the issue.

Boost leak test - no leaks
checked all EBCS lines - no tears or holes
Removed my ewg and tested it by pressurizing the bottom port - opens and closes correctly
Looked for exhaust leaks around turbo, mani, and dp - nothing
Checked turbo - no side to side or in out play
swapped BPV to a known working one - no changes
Uninstalled AP and reinstalled - no change
New map direct from tuner - no change
bypassed my ebcs (hooked pressure line straight to the bottom port on my wastegate - couldn't hit spring pressure (19psi spring)
Checked guardian angel operation and even bypassed it - no changes

I'm at a loss for why I can't even hit spring pressure. I'm thinking my wastegate is messed up but I can't wrap my head around the fact that its opening (screamer pipe) but only hitting around 17psi and way down on my load target.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Any help at this point would be awesome.

Oh my main mods are -
GTx3071 - ATP EWG hotside with Tial MVS
    Fullrace mani
    HTP3.5 Intake
    Grimmspeed EBCS
    V1 Guardian Angel
Devils own meth kit stg 1 (I have switched back to 93 only map for troubleshooting)
    Turbosmart 50/50 BPV
    Cobb FMIC

EDIT: thought I had narrowed it down to blown turbo. Have replaced CHRA with new Garrett one. Still same issues as before.

Just what I would think were it my car:

"well, if it was a massive exhaust leak pre-turbo it`d do that, but I`d see/hear it or otherwise find evidence. It`s not even hitting spring pressure. Better take a look at the wastegate".

I too think my wastegate is toast. I plan on pulling it out again and swapping springs and a new diaphragm into it. I will update the thread once I do so.

Was it the wastegate? It's the only thing that makes sense.

Negative, I have narrowed it down and believe the turbo is shot. I have ordered a new CHRA and will be swapping that out soon.
[doublepost=1497912408][/doublepost]Oh also, to test I unhooked the Waste-gate pressure line and was cautiously getting into boost to see if it would spool. Well 19psi was the most pressure I could build with no waste-gate opening and WOT in 3rd gear. My thought was without a waste-gate it should have overboosted to infinity. Since it didn't It lead me to believe the turbo was toast.

Hmm. Interesting. What's done for on the turbo?

I saw what appeared to be oil and coolant on the on the compressor blades when I fixed the leak. My thought is that somehow coolant got into the turbo and screwed the BB in the chra.

Got a replacement chra for $700 and am planning on installing this weekend.

I'd be interested in inspecting the chra to see what happened.

I thought that but I have already replaced the diagram and springs inside the wastegate. I even unplugged it altogether and the turbo would still not boost past 19psi

When you unplug it, it's closed? Or open? Something doesn't sound right. What do your fuel trims look like? Are you positive the BPV is good?

Yes, when it was unplugged the WG is closed and will not open. Its an EWG so its very easy to hear when its open. As for the BPV I have swapped another known working one on and it didnt change anything.
    [doublepost=1498507771][/doublepost]Oh, LTFT's are all within +/- 4

    post a log?

I think more information would help here.

Sounds like you've exhausted hardware issues, so tune is the next place to look.

Is your tune locked? if not, can you post it?

Your car is only requesting ~20% wgdc, it's not even asking for a substantial amount of boost.
    This looks tune related.

Also, which wastegate actuator do you have?
    EDIT: doh. nvm, tial external.

This tune has been on my car for over a year hitting 21psi and 2.1 load. This is just my 93 map with meth turned off. It was tuned in the same kind of weather we have now also.

I have tried updated tunes, reflashed, swapped to my meth map. Nothing changes when changing the tune.

Independent of anything else, the tune should be requesting more wgdc if you aren't hitting target boost/load- so there is something there that isn't hardware related. Do you have old tunes to roll back to?

Yes, I have old tunes I have tried as well as newer ones that command more WGDC. Even with WGDC in the 60's im only hitting 18psi at 5000 rpm.

    hmmmmm....

Plugs? Shitty combustion can lead to poor power delivery/boost.

I just fouled out a set of plugs on my 6, but that was due to an catastrophic/ZOMG rich incident with fireballs, etc.
