    Also depends if said crank is going to go into the 64 to cruise down the street in, jockin them bitches and slappin' them hoes.

    @KiwiFlavor called and was quoted about $90 to key the crank. Totally worth it.

    Holy shit $90 is cheap. Like "maybe I wasn`t clear what I need done" cheap. LOL. I`d jump on that.

    I mean I have to get the crank pulley and gears, that's not included but for the labor of the keying and all that yea it's $90

    Safety is big for me. I found some recommended shops for the different jobs. All specialize if different building techniques and many don't believe in the key way unless it is something factory made.

    2 dude... 30yrs and another 40yrs in the business said somewhat the same thing. Summary: majority of all engines are the same and when using the manual with the basic techniques, you can't go wrong. All these new modification that doesn't all to horsepower are safeties for those that aren't 100% about what they are doing on a selected platforms. Some come with build in ket way but there was a reason for that on each. Others need it some safe keeping but a true build don't need added mods if they knows what they are doing. etc and etc

    I kinda agree to an extent. At 500hp, you would be a fool not to key the crank in these cars IMO. Plus I just really hate the idea of friction washers. I think they're a terrible design on a high performance engine, that sees high boost.

    I can agree with that. At the end of the day, it goes back to this statement:
