Too expensive. Could get a better engine elsewhere for way cheaper. And not have to worry about a v2 or v3.

Yes. Good feel most would charge roughly 5k give or take. Maybe 6k for a really stout build. I mean shit I can build one myself for a lot cheaper but that’s not comparing apples to apples.

I mean, we were talking about it in chat the other day and determined that an Ebtec shortblock alone is like $4500. Someone had been quoted $5k+, for again I believe just a shortblock, from wetz on the other forum. None of us knew what Speed Solutions charges bc he always just tells people to pm him, lol. But all in all, this didn't seem like an unfair deal for everything that's included.

Here's the link for the Product page!

    My bad Guys: https://corksport.com/?subcats=Y&pc...&search_id=&q=dankai&dispatch=products.search

The main part of the market we are trying to fill are for those that want them on the way the next day, as its our goal to always have one ready to go for you guys. Besides the legit blueprinting/documentation, warranty, and quality parts. That is also what makes up part of the cost, as you can imagine. Not having to wait for a bit is nice.

It is in fact a full long block, just needs your valve cover and accessories to be bolted on. We include VERY detailed break in procedure instructions too, with all the details on activating your warranty with us etc.You also get it shipped for free, new injector seals, and anything else you order with it is also free shipping which is legit.

If anyone in here has further questions though, remember you can email me whenever or give me a direct call.

I paid ~5k before tax to Wetz for a built longblock, ended up waiting 7 months and then he returned all my money. These may be more expensive than some other options but if they can keep them in stock and with a warranty I don't think it's a bad deal.

I would be curious to see where you could find a decently built long block for 5k. There is some decent work in these it seems like. Really the price seems pretty reasonable IMO.

Especially since in comes with cams and injector seals.

I paid 1500 for a used longblock to build, then a little over 5k for the parts/labor to build it with only mild head porting. 7k with an upgraded valvetrain and cams doesnt seem unreasonable..

Proper blueprinting is time consuming and not cheap. It's not a pop'n'drop solution AND it's ready to ship the next day.

I don't know of any builder that offers blueprinting documentation or can even ship a built engine within a week, much less the next day.

That's one hell of an option to have for some people.

I guess you're the person who should just build his own longblock over the span of a few months without any form of warranty and then not worry about what Corksport is charging. Almost everyone I know who's gone through various shops reports it takes MONTHS to get a motor. I mean it took me an entire month to just get my headwork alone done through SP63 (after being quoted 2 weeks max) and that was with calling them every day to check on the status. So sure, maybe you think you're paying more over another similar build (including cams, headwork, etc...) but I really don't think it's worth the fuss you're making. If CS is going to have a motor ready to ship within the week, or even two weeks, this is honestly a good new thing for our platform.

Well I’m not really making a fuss all I said was that I feel it’s a bit high on price. Not sure where you’re coming from with that accusation.

Honestly I think a fair price point would be around 6k. And I don’t like the fact that their 700hp block isn’t keyed or pinned.

6k with cams and head work? That would be steal IMO. Not to mention like people pointed out the turn around.

And Freek has shown you dont need keys and pins if you do it right. Not that Im near 700, but Im not worried about any thing (no keys or pins) at mid 500s. Yeah piece of mind, but thats all they add
