Running again; everything looks normal. 50-1220 is a drop in part; no issues.

Doing the PS cooler and maybe headlights tomorrow, then buttoning up and driving for real on Saturday.

I have a DTC I need to figure out too though; P0328 pertaining to the knock sensor reading high, so I'll have to chase the wiring down to make sure it's on there properly.

Another week wasted. PS cooler all hooked up (probably get pics tomorrow and maybe paint the shiny bits) but missing a TON of shit to make the headlights work. FML. I guess this is what I get for buying new housings and tossing the old ones.

    Edit: This hurts.
I won't be able to get the front cover on without the screws and clips.

Shit, mine were toasted past the point of salvage, too, so I just grabbed a set of ebay specials for like $150 lol. Nice 'n clear.

Well, we'll see how long mine last too, whereas yours should be g2g for ages. They're whatever cheapo knockoff not-OEM units. I should probably give them a clearcoat covering before they see too much summer sun.

45 minute 31 mile drive (one way) to get 4 screws 4 clips and the highbeam boots; at least they are in today. The lowbeam holders and boots should be getting dropped off with the mail today from Amazon; should be driving it by Monday afternoon, if all goes well and I don't get dicked over again by something stupid.

Oh and the knock sensor wasn't plugged in, lol

Eh the knock sensor is just one more useless thing on this car. I'll be running full corn eventually so it likely won't ever be used.

Meh, ironing out little shit always happens after heavy wrenching.

Are you driving that Ford wagon you were restoring?

Nah I'm gonna have to abandon that project. Not enough time and money.

Front goes back on tomorrow, after a couple of checks, then it goes back down on the ground hopefully permanently. Need to do some more checks as the brake pedal is stiff as fuck but the vacuum hose is connected...Sure hope it's just a cam issue and my booster ain't shot. Still have a CEL and the battery light is coming on, but that might be because the new alternator is a 1 wire.

Oh, and this is what my PS cooler looks like now:
    IMG_20190526_124418569.jpg

I'm using hydraulic/trans cooler line instead of heater hose (which tends to sweat ATF and get all boogery). 3/8 barb to -6 AN for the cooler, with brass step downs for the transition from 1/2 (also using hydraulic / transmission hose there too) and standard hose clamps. Also threw on a quick coat of BBQ paint on the bracketry to hide it a bit better (no shiny allowed).

EDIT: Oh, and all the lights work; 65w highs, 55w lows.

Running good but slow. Going to have an issue with the turbo coolant line at some point but I'm hoping it will take a while.

I'm sure I'm hitting boost but I don't know how much as I apparently have the MAP sensor set wrong so it's only reading upwards of 2 PSI. Hitting 3.5v on a 3.5" intake though, on what is probably a 10 PSI spring that's likely opening early.

Currently looking up the proper settings for the Bosch 3.5 BAR MAP from Edge to get a better reading on boost; what I'm running now aint doing it.
[doublepost=1559001094][/doublepost]First real update; boost is obviously wrong here (reads 2.5 PSI in the log) cause I can't get the fucking MAP dialed in (off by 40 kpa). Fueling targets aren't hitting, so need to calibrate for sure but also only running 15 degrees timing at 8k RPM.

Isn't that plastic bracket part of the front bumper air dam?

I helped @Raider with his car yesterday, and you definitely have a more open area by the hood latch than he does. Maybe he can chime in.

I found out; it goes underneath the headlights (EDIT: Raider posted before I could lol). I appear to be missing one though so I'll have to find that or (shudder) buy a replacement.

    Also, from the vdyno log:

    8000 RPM
    3.77 MAFv
    77% IDC
    13.1 AFR

Might actually be 15 PSI, not sure yet.
