So in the process of getting ready for my engine build, I managed to score a set of stock injectors for $100. Of course I wanted to go and get the flow tested and cleaned, but to do that I of course needed a seal rebuild kit, but Mazda's OEM kit is DUMB expensive, and I had a better idea.

    https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...1447278,fuel+&+air,fuel+injector+o-ring,13679

@JohnnyTightlips and a few suggestions I have seen on Facebook led me to these Rock Auto rebuild kits. For about $8 a kit, I got 4 kits (1 per injector) shipped to my house for about $37. An absolute steal compared to the OEM ones.

Install was just a TOUCH tricky. The plastic ring that sits directly under the blue O-ring does NOT have a 'cut' in it like the OEM one does. You will have to force it on a little bit and get it over that top piece of the injector. I put it kinda diagonally on the top and forced it with my palm and it went on. OEM seal with the 'Cut" pictured here.

Besides that little quirk, the rest of the seal components go on fine and I can't really tell the difference from OEM. That cut, and the color/material of the very top plastic seal, and the color/material of the nozzle seal are the only things I can see that is different. Nozzle seal pictured below.

(note if/when installing this nozzle seal, the beveled side goes AWAY from the tip. There is a picture on Jim Ellis parts that shows that)

Besides that stuff, it looks fine. I will be sending these out to Injector RX to get them cleaned/flow tested and I will report back if they seal/don't seal when being tested. If everything goes okay, I will throw them in the engine when I get it with upgraded injector seals and see if they can hold up to some real power. Here are a few extra pictures.

Confirmed with Injector RX that all seals need to be included when sent to them. Screenshot attached.

[doublepost=1547737476][/doublepost]Well speak of the devil. Just got my invoice and flow sheet back from the guys at InjectorRX. Looks like my injectors weren't too terrible to begin with, but still never hurts to get em cleaned.

Looks like all the seals help up in their test equipment. But take this with a grain of salt at the monent, as they only test these at about 73psi. Obviously the rail sees much, much higher pressure than that.

I will update this thread in the coming months when these are actually put in the engine with upgraded nozzle seals. But as of right now, I have high hopes for them.

Just wanted to update this post again.

Got my injectors back Saturday from InjectorRX, really fast shipping turnaround. I sent my payment Thursday morning and got em back Saturday morning.

I will post pictures when I get home today, but just looking at them my God these things are SPOTLESS. Absolutely blown away how clean these look. The seals still look BRAND new, so that's a plus as well. Maybe if I got a group of guys together that want theirs cleaned, I might be able to talk InjectorRX into possibly offering us a coupon/group code... That would be cool.

I still have great hopes for these seals. Next big update I will most likely have them in the new block, and will update accordingly.

@Mazdarati; how many miles were on the injectors you had tested?

Picked up 2 sets of these seals from RockAuto. Going to ship a set of injectors to InjectorRx for cleaning.

Not sure how confident I feel in the blue Oring seal, I might still buy an OEM set when I go to install them. But for how cheap these kits are, they are totally worth it to replace all the nylon washers.

So I am finally able to update this thread. After getting the new block installed with the injectors using these seals, as of NOW, I can safely say they are absolutely OK to use!

I have 0 issues so far at all. Install into the rail was a pain in the ass (like always) but besides that I have 0 complaints! I have hit about 1800PSI+ on the rail and have not had any sputtering, fuel pressure loss, leaks, absolutely nothing. I have about 400 miles on the engine so far with the seals. I will be continuing to monitor the injectors for leaks and keep this updated, but as of now, I can say they are a GREAT budget buy with no drawbacks (as of yet LOL).

@Mazdarati; seals still holding up? Have you put many miles on them?

I've put well over 3k miles on them without issue! Just did 500hp in my car too so they've seen some power as well. So far so good!
