So I've been seeing this "Tesla style radio" in my We Know What You're Thinking ads and on my eBay app. There has to be someone on here that's bit the bullet on this but I haven't really had any luck searching on here.

Seems like you're missing a question or 2 in your post....

I assume you're trying to figure out how well it works? For that you should look at product reviews. The nice thing about car audio is of you get the right size deck you can use so many head units with proper harnesses or hard wire it of you find the diagrams.

I have no ideA what you're talking about by"Tesla style radio" model numbers or links would be helpful.

Touch screen? Eonon is teh msot affordable. A cookie sheet stereo though, that would mean sacrifices.

Eonon has a new version of their Mazda 3 unit based on Android 10 with a 9" IPS screen.

    Gen1: https://www.eonon.com/Android-Car-G...tion-Radio-with-Built-in-CarPlay-and-DSP.html

But is has an MTK SoC, which has me reluctant. I can't find much information on it other than in other versions of that unit it is reported to be pretty sluggish unless using the CarPlay/Android Auto adapter. I love the big screen and the fact that it more closely matches the glossy black OEM colors on the dash though. The standard flat black color wouldn't look great in the '08.5-'09.

Thanks for putting this link in here. After debating for a week I pulled the trigger on it. I’ll let you guys know how it works out once it gets here. Fingers crossed that it’s worth it.

I know a few ms6 owners in Ohio that use the tesla style radio. They said touchscreen functionality is decently smooth and all the steering wheel controls still work. It also allows you to hook up a backup backup camera which is nice. But like the stock bose, audio isn't the highest of quality. And the touch screen hvac controls dont work. You still have to use the physical knobs

I'll be getting one as soon as this covid shit ends and my work goes back to normal

Here's a pic of one of the Ohio guys 6 with the tesla style unit FB_IMG_1590213536348.jpg

It is nice that it also comes with the gps antenna so you have full screen GPS, and i believe it is Bluetooth compatible as well for audio/and calls through a paired phone
