Got a totaled parts car & it was like winning the lottery
My 06 GT has been bone stock since I bought it
    Babied, spoiled really
    Rotella t6 always 93 [emoji2373]
I’ve treated my car better than I’ve ever treated myself lol I paid like 17k after I finally paid it off 2 months ago.

Now I’m learning literally everything about this car as I’m taking one apart & beefing up the other

Most fun I’ve had all year bar none

    What's the long-term plans for you 6

Also time to swap from Rotella to an oil with dexos 2 tech as it stands up to fuel sheer way better, such as tribodyn or royal purple even Pennzoil ultra plat. Rotella doesn't play well with other oils so short interval oil change after is recommended.

Check this thread out for some used oil analysis and discussion https://www.mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/best-engine-oil-all-mod-levels.7931/

    Thank you!
Yeah I wanted to look into the oil filter conversion, too?

Long term goal is 500hp in a daily
Today I’m tackling coilovers & exhaust / downpipe

Royal purple, huh? I for some reason thought they were overcompensating lol

Do you guys really wait 5,000 miles in between changes ?
I haven’t managed to do an EGR delete or the spin on conversion for oil, but I’ve changed at every 3,500 miles

    I appreciate the insight [emoji1374]

spin on oil filter conversion is just the one from the gen2 here's a link with PN easy to do as long as you have a big enough wrench for the oil pressure sensor (24mm I think) https://edgeautosport.com/mazda-oem...azdaspeed-3-2007-2009-mazdaspeed-6-2006-2007/

EGR is a good thing less carbon on your valves, esp cycl 4, EGR delete and catch can from PCV to IM and your valves will thank you (following a good cleaning). will really put a slowdown on the buildup.

Royal purple is good and showing well on UOA, Tribodyn is better but cumbersome for me to get here in Canada so RP for me.

As for oil changes I'm probably excessive at 3700miles my UOA has shown that I could go further so the intent is 4300-4500 then 5k based on UOA. I think others have ran more with no issues as they are doing UOA and that's what's being recommend based on analysis for their engine. Look at the thread I linked their UOA have been posted and you can see results. If you want to optimize your oil changes then getting a UOA is best to find out what your engine needs.

    Edit: blackstone link https://www.blackstone-labs.com/
