Well I'm Making Wire Tuck Harnesses With PI and WOT Box! I got my 1st harness made and ITS SEXY!!! And of curse the 1st one is going on my build lol! I'm going to have to paint that valve cover now!!! It just wouldn't be right to strap this Beautiful Wire Tuck Harness to that ugly valve cover!!
    :b1:

But Here Is My Facebook Page For Wire Tuck Harnesses. https://www.facebook.com/MazdaspeedCustom/
In case you were wondering lol. Here's what she looks like on my original speed 6 thats completely stock. I will have photos of it on my baby soon!:rocker:

    20200924_071536.jpg 20200924_071519.jpg 20200924_071802.jpg Screenshot_20200924-074817_Gallery.jpg

But I got the new T-case to transmission seal. About to put it in. And I got a used Mazda 6 fuel basket and i'm going to just use the bottom section of the assembly. Seems to match the speed 6 bottom section.. The part I screwed up :BangHead: Lol and I got the dremal out and put a stone tip on it and did the perfect cut I wanted tge 1st tine around And made it smooth with a sand paper tip. Ots Looking Good! So here a few pictures o before I got to it with drimal.
    20200925_113446.jpg 20200925_113927.jpg 20200925_114014.jpg 20200925_114017.jpg 20200925_114025.jpg
And here is my 1st attempt :BangHead:
    20200919_195016.jpg

I had to redo it. It wasn't up to par with the caliber of this build!!:bash:

    I'm just plugging away!!:aaaaa:
Can't Freaking Wait To Be Here:drive:

Well I finally got the t-case to transmission gasket In and the t-case on. I also got the downpipe, radiator support and crash bar installed!!! Sweet!:headbang:
    20201012_125113.jpg 20201012_125530.jpg 20201012_125952.jpg
Wasn't sure if I was supposed to use sealant but figured it wouldn't hurt either way.

Not gunna lie, I got a little carried away with making the harnesses! Lol I got a picture or two of my 1st customers finished harness. Its for a Gen 2 With WOT Box and Black Sleeves Plus VTCS Deleted. I'm Proud Of It!
    20201010_143859.jpg
    20201010_173724.jpg

But I grabbed a few pics while I was under there. I couldn't help it! That Turbski Is Looking Sexy!!!:uptosomething:
    20201012_135025.jpg 20201013_000816.jpg

Also while I was under there I secured the 6an fuel line with metal zip ties. So I did build a new hell cat fuel pump and found out what I was doing wrong. On the new one, I changed it to where the 6AN line is now the feed line and the factory feed line is the return line. Was a real easy fix when I can to engine bay plumbing. I just switch 2 hoses and it was good! :thumbsup2:

But the other mistake I was making was putting the valve on the feed side not the return side . Once I fixed those two things its working perfectly!!! Heres a few pictures.
    20201001_120854.jpg 20201001_120845.jpg 20201001_120842.jpg 20201001_120838.jpg 20201001_120822.jpg 20201001_120817.jpg 20201006_195107.jpg
    20200925_202108.jpg
This one show the speed 6 and mazda 6 fuel basket side by side the fuel gauge is higher on mazda 6 housing

This was the tools I choose this time around and works flawlessly 20200925_115616.jpg 20200925_121002.jpg

    Now I just got to
    -install subframe
    -boost leak test FMIC
    -fill transmission & t-case.
    -install wire tuck harness
-close up door in back seat to fuel tank
    -replace & bleed rear brakes
    -Mount Front mount oil cooler
Then I should be ready to start this beast!!:uptosomething::headbang::drive:

    Here's how she looks now

    THE BEAST LIVES!!!
I have a video but I can't seem to upload so here is where I shared it when I was trying to get car going and hpfp wasn't doing anything. End up being exposed wires at the spill valve plug and they were touching.

    1st Start

Well she purring like a kitten boys!!!

Wow, I didn't realize how much I missed my baby!! But I hate the drone from the ewg dump pipe... but I do like when u shift at 6k and it back fires lol... and how it sounds when u go into boost!!! But I'm going to have to figure something out. I was thinking of looking into a ultra quiet resonator for the dump pipe. Just to get ride of the drone maybe. Just throwing around ideas right now...

I finally got past break in. Running a 18psi map from Freektune now. After taking my time trying to seat the rings and evan after hitting boost for a few days now. Its my first built motor and a little nervous about how long its taking for the rings to seat. The builder said the vacume would go up. But when I first started the motor. It said -6.95 At idle And now its at -6.80 at idle. so its going in wrong direction. Idk I've been avoiding highway the whole break in. And downshifting as much as possible. I've only driven the highway since I got past break in miles of 500. I'm a little over 600 miles now. I know it's early in the engines life. But I'm soo nervous the rings don't seat right and motor goes to shit.

I asked he builder he said its only 1 100th of the engines life and it takes time and said the elevation affects vacume... Basically said I need to chill out. and i asked Justin from freaktune but he answered like I didn't know what vacume was. Said give me a wot in 3rd and let's seat those rings. But I've already hit full boost and banged a few gears. I evan tried flat foot shifting once or twice. But the vacume has not gone up. And my other speed registers -8.00 vacume at idle. So idk maybe over thinking it. 1st time doing break in Definitely freaking out slightly!! rather freak out and make sure I'm doing everything right then to just brush it off and watch motor go to shit if I'm doing something wrong I could have fixed. Lol

But she's running. And putting a smile on my face every drive. Especially now that I can go into boost. Lol

I'm having small issues from the alarm and the shift beep. Going to have to recheck wiring. But overall she's good.
Alarm goes off and headlights and brake lights don't flash. Worked before I switch cars but now i added a relay thinking it was the proper way to do it.. and now it don't work.. and the shift beep. Not sure what going on there... the little things will get worked out very soon.

Getting The custom 3" cat back with the 2 ultra quiet resonators put on today. I'm going to try for both resonators but with the long dp I don't think I'll be able to do it. We will see.
But once I get the exhaust I can go for a drive and take a datalog and get it to Justin so we can see what he says. And get some more boost. She feels lacking a little right now. My last setup was the bnr s4 v2 on 22psi. So I want more boost already. Lol

I'll upload a few datalogs in a few!

    Super stoked!!!

So here is some logs. These are from 10 23 2020 the day of 1st start.

    They are labeled
    One is 1st start Idle

One is after 30 miles on 1st drive

One is 1500 to 4500 WOT 2nd gear slow acceleration as requested by Justin at Freektune after 30 mile drive

And one is today 11 7 2020 idle after drive labeled "datalog1"

Got the 3" Catback with 2 ultra quiet resonators. Heres a few pics. i'd upload a clip of it running but no video files can be uploaded...lol

Love it! Still appears stock He He He:rambo1:
It don't sound bad ethier. But when coasting at 3500rpm it gets that dreaded drone. Probably going to be looking into maybe changing the second resonator out for a muffler that eliminates the drone. I don't have too much experience with exhaust upgrades. We will see.

I also have 2 more datalogs. These are the one I sent to Justin last night after the catback install and a little drive. One is idle and one is 3rd gear 3000 to 5500

So I had to pull the alarm back out and check a few things out the headlights and brakes lights were having issues when alarm goes off the headlights don't do nothing and the brake light turn on and stay on but don't flash and I put it on the horn wire so it would flash on off with horn while alarm goes off.

Now it won't activate the relay so I bought the special one so it should read the lower power of the alarm output 200mA.

So I finally got it tucked back under dash and took her for a spin. Justin from Freektune got back to me and said the logs and vacume look fine so. He sent me a new map with 20psi. I went for a nice drive. Man its only getting better and better! I took a log and sent it off already.

And I asked a friend to record a video but had difficulties.. but here's a drive by I'll grab better ones soon !!!

Here the logs I sent Justin this time in case anyone is interested

Looks like you're on the right path man keep it up! I feel like my built motor had over 1k miles before it fully started to be seated because I didn't thrash it during break in but just 10psi on ko4 basically the second or third time out. I think your motor is just fine man just give it time to settle in a bit. Also, are you on stock fueling at the moment I would assume? 12psi @ 6500 rpms and 380 g/s seems pretty good to me lol

Thanks man!! Ok, I appreciate the insight on your experience man. Yeah I never hit boost during break in. The builder said zero boost until after 1st 500 miles. Then I was on a 18psi map and sent it.

Yes we are still on stock fueling. Yeah I will see if I like this 5558 gen2 or not. I wanted it for less lag. And still achieve mid 600 hp. Only time will tell I guess. I love the sound a big turbo puts out when just driving no boost. Its awesome but this one don't do it. Little disappointed lol but Thanks Man!

Someone joked with me about doing a T 51R mod to my turbo and I think I would absolutely love it. That makes it party all day long boost or not haha I think it's like 4-500 to have it done but it sounds insane afterwards and the turbo looks much nicer at the inlet as well.

5558 is technically a big turbo but not a 6466 or something in the bigger range so it isn't going to be as loud as one that size. I think there was a thread about turbos and how each sounds. Maybe I will start a similar thread requesting members to post their turbo and a short sound clip of what it sounds like during spool up and maybe a drive by with little throttle to see how they sound under normal driving conditions.

T51R Mod I'm going to have to check it out! I miss the noise a big one has just driving in vacuum.

So I found a few videos of the T 51R mod and it has more of a high pitched whistle to me. The sound I like is simular but not as high pitched.

I found a video of a speed 3 with a bnr s4 cruising around. Here:

Go to 7:09 and you can hear the sound when the exhaust allows. Its same as T 51R mod but not as high pitched. It's Perfect!!

So moving forward I'm on the 3rd PI revision from Freaktune. And I just got my 2nd split second revision. I just sent a few more logs to Justin. I'll add them if anyone is interested.

So the 3rd PI revisions power felt alot better. But after I put the new split second map on it running rich again. So the car goes but feels lacking and forced.. So after I sent off the new logs I put the 1st split second map back on. So it is running decent again until I get another map fixing the rich condition. I talked to Justin and he said he's moving alot of the fueling up front(pi injectors) so when its done and i want to switch fuels I can just change the map on just the ap and not both the ap and split second.

But I did get her washed yesterday and she is looking pretty damn good!!!

That turbo whirling sound is attained by running 3" straight pipe lol My car slightly does that even with dual magnaflows but running no cat so that is a lot of it too I think. Mine mostly is more crackly. Maybe this link will take you to my video of mine.

No.. So the video is of just exhaust sounds. I'm not referring to the exhaust noise in the video I shared. I was referring to the faint whistle from turbo.. But it can't be that it has to be a 3" stright pipe because my last setup was with the stock 2.5 cat back and it made that sound all the time while cruising. Now I did have a 3" catless downpipe.. Idk but I loved it. But if mine did it all the time with stock cat back and stock mufflers its not that its not 3" stright piped.

Its was coming from the actual turbo not the exhaust. Thats why i said when the exhaust lets you hear it. The exhaust sound over takes the turbo whisle noise im referring to.

All right, So got a new map from Justin and put the Split Second Map (B) back on and put the new 91-PI-Map (D) on. Took a few logs. It feels alot better. I'll include the logs i sent Justin. I got a little more boost.. Thats always fun!!

So I never got around to changing the upgraded diff mounts or the sway bar/end links from the older car to the new one. So I'm ordering the DSS axles and the sway bar bushings needed when running DSS axles. So I can do the whole rear end in one swoop before it gets trashed.

So moving forward ever since I got the car going I've been trying to figure out whats wrong with the Gaurdian Angel. It clicks to check the internal valve when car is on motor off. But when motor is running the clicking should stop once it detects vacuum.

So I rechecked the wiring, changed the vacuum hose, bypassed the boost guage and the fuel pressure regulator (Before we started tuning with PI) and it didn't change anything. I contacted stratified and they requested a video and description of the problem and they said to send it back so I did and they tested it and said the sensor was faulty and are sending me a new one evan tho I was out of warranty... YAY
