Anyone have any input on underdriven pullies?

"Installs in place of your factory pullies. These are BOLT on installations. Expect a nice performance gains. This device works by slowing down or “underdriving” your vehicles accesories. That includes all pulley driven items (alternator, water pump, power steering, A/C, etc.). The less horsepower your engine spends driving those, the more power it has to move your vehicle forward. Made of super light weight 6061 aluminum, these pulleys also allow the engine to rev more freely by replacing the heavy iron pulleys they replace. Not cheesy knock offs with fitment problems often found on ebay, these are the real deal. Massive makes our pulleys with the highest precision machinery in the business today, and utilizing ultra close tolerances and a super strength design that will last forever. High quality made in house here at Massive in the USA."

Your profile pic is a gen pu so you have electric powered steering, the a/c shuts off when you wot, I don't know why you would want to underdrive the water pump and in my experience most kits will include a new water pump pulley to keep it at the correct speed

So you are looking at $70 to underdrive your alternator and gain like 1.25 hp

I was just interested since it was a cheap mod. I've heard bad things about under-driving things before but wanted to see if anyone had experience. I guess I won't get them. There was a guy on the discord talking about an underdrive pulley: alt.JPG
He did this because he will be revving to 8300 and the alt shouldn't exceed 20k. Looking at the graph he's well below that. I will be using the crower springs Johnny is running. Don't know what I will rev to. He said they're good to 8k I believe. From my previous experience with Honda's, there's a common LSVTEC upgrade. There the original redline was 7200 and the new is 8200. So you have to change the water pump to the Vtec one which spins slower to prevent cavitation at high rpms.
Also people with other cars such as BRZ's which come to mind get lightened pullies which have a similar effect to a lightweight flywheel. If these weren't under-driven it would probably be no problem. Oh and yes I have a gen pu.

Corksport makes a lightweight pulley set that doesnt underdrive the accesories.
