So I've had my RX8 rims on my Gen Won for about 10 years / 120k miles now. I have had 3 or 4 sets of tires on there.

My original tires were a set of Continentals and they fit AMAZING. They were just slightly wider than my rims and protected them from any curb rub. Since then I have had Hankooks and Falkens. I cannot find the receipt for my Continentals so I do not remember what size they were but all the other tires I have had have been 235/40R18s but they are slightly narrower than my rims so if I look at a curb wrong, I get rash. So my question:

Do 245/40R18's fit without rubbing? I am thinking my Continentals were 245/40R18s and I just messed up ordering the last few sets. I have stock springs/ride height.

At stock ride height you should be fine. If you plan to lower it you’ll have rubbing issues and will need to roll/pull your fenders

They fit!!! Just installed a set of Goodyear Eagle A/S and they fit great! They just touch the strut but I would not call it "rubbing" per se.

Awesome! If that ends up being a problem, a 5mm spacer will help. But again you’re looking at possible rubbing on the fenders
