AFR looks pretty good still so I would not sweat it too much, PI is def needed and will help you all around to feel more comfortable hooning on 93. My winter tune was a lot of fun and it was nice to know if it over boosted I would still have fuel with PI running.

Yea afrs seem to be OK so I’m happy about that. It’s just the minor break up up top that sucks. I guess PI will fix that

I would try to log from 2k on - to see what the engine is doing. Yes it's boggy, and yes some folks are scared but - The tune should have the boost limited to appropriate amounts throughout the rpm range. On the track, if you happen to hammer it at 2k or at 2500 (not likely but can happen occasionally by mistake), you should feel confident the engine wont blow, no matter what.

So on my stock block setup I was logging 2500-6500 as requested by the tuner at the time. I’m now logging 3000-7500 as requested by Will. I have no problems starting at 2500 or 2000. Just been following Wills instruction so far.
I think the turbo is large enough that even at 2000rpm if I went flat I don’t think it would make any real boost till at least 2600+ at which point we’re probably safe.

I’ll see what Will says. Hopefully I have my reply tonight or tomorrow. He’s been pretty good so far with the 2 day turn around time

"NO spacers were required. Wheel specs are 17x9 +40. These are konig hypergrams. I absolutely love how it looks. It’s just a meaty track day look and its perfect. I’ll get better pictures later."

Have you done anything to your fenders to accomodate these wider wheels, and are they the same size on all corners? I've been considering getting some dekagrams with the same specs, probably with 255/40 hankook rs4's. Just reeeeeeeeaaally hoping I don't need to mess around with fenders.

Also curious as you're seeing higher G's than the car was built for, do you still have stock seats or have you gone full race car with grippier seat and harness?

Hey so yea all 4 corners are the same spec 17x9 +40.

you will need to roll both front and rear fenders, and the rears need to be really really rolled. Otherwise that is all that’s needed.

As for seats lol...the oem ones suck. I hate it. It’s also broken so mine is loose and wiggles around. On track it’s a nightmare and I find myself constantly pinned against the door holding myself in.

I have a brand new still wrapped up sparco bucket seat and I have everything needed to install it. Been sitting for like 4 years now lol I think this season I will finally install it.

How the hell have you been using a stock seat this long? I have a windy road on my commute and it has me thinking about a better seat

Well first time I tried to installed it bolting the side mounts together with the sliders then to the bracket was a massive massive pain in the ass. It’s not a fun process. THEN I FOUND OUT MY NOT CHEAP SPARCO SEAT BRACKET DIDNT FIT THE CAR. After that I gave up for a few years. Last fall I had my buddy modify that shitty sparco bracket so it bolts up now. Just haven’t felt like being suicidal again by bolting all that headache together. I’ll do it soon lol

Dude I'm with you. After 4k my car is a rocket and I'm probably only making like 410-430 right now at 23.5psi peak.

I hammer my logs WOT at 2500-6500 for 3rd and 4th per my tuners instructions, I never worry about anything going bang as you should be confident in the tune and the engine/hardware.

I think I'm seeing like 21psi at 38-3900rpm. Pretty lazy down low (at least right now, but we are not going to push it on the low end). I do not miss quick spool in all honesty, I live for 4k+ now.

Yea above 4k is fantastic car just pulls. Vdyno showing ~350whp but I’m thinking it’s a little more. Still not much timing in it.
I asked Will if he could bring the boost in sooner and he said yea...once I have fuel LOL. Really gotta hook PI up. I don’t have the turbo you do but my old gt30 has already gotten me where I wanna be so anything more is just bonus!

    also another mans down

So I lost my clutch the other day. Press the pedal and nothin. Damn. Will fuck with that once I’m done helping my buddy pull his motor.

he’s got a built motor, 7000kms on it. Lost compression in cylinder 3. Thinking machine shop didn’t prep the block properly so I’ll be helping my buddy out with a rebuild. Woohoo lol

wish I had time to get my car fixed this weekend. Really hoping the tob didn’t explode. Ugh hopefully the new slave I installed this morning just needs better bleeding. We shall see

Bled my new slave cylinder forever tonight. Still no good. Pedal feels like crap. Trying using my fancy new power bleeder and while fluid comes out of the slave bleeder with no issues, soon as I tighten it up and go check the pedal, still no good.

is this my master that’s failed? I don’t know wtf else. I’m going to try the old pump the pedal bleed tomorrow but I really don’t know at this point.

Is the slave moving at all? Could be the master, but if the slave isnt stroking fully, dont forget the clutch pedal bracket or firewall for cracks. If it seems like the slave isnt pushing far enough, there could be flex in the pedal mounting not allowing full stroke of the master.

If it is the master, its not a hard part to rebuild, dealer has a kit for cheap. I think the MS3 master is a bitch to access. Wasnt easy on My Speed6. But I also had a crack in the mounting bracket in the end.

    -edit- gooder anglish.

So I did check to see how far the slave is moving and it looks like it is NOT moving out far enough. Even though I watched clean bubble free fluid come out of the bleeder.

I totally didn’t even consider checking if my pedal assembly is cracked but that makes sense. Could it be that the pedal pressure isn’t making its way to the slave because of that? I really need to check and see if mine is cracked. I’d rather that then replace the slave lol

Did some inspecting. No cracks found.

I really hope it’s not the master but not sure what else it could be

They are kind of hard to see unless you take out the assembly.
