    Did some more work today.

what a pain in the ass it was to get these fittings installed lol fuck is it tight. Routing the hoses sucked MAJOR as well. Fuckkk. It fits though. Nothing should have any problems clearing. We’ll see as tomorrow my manifold is going back on and I’m wrapping this up.

catch got bolted here. It’s metal and I inspected behind and it’s all hallow empty space back there so I knew my screw wasn’t going into anything important.
    BC332205-C9BA-430B-BD05-38C1C2845B90.jpeg

I originally made a bracket to mount it off a strut bolt but I inlet/outlet was facing the manifold and I couldn’t bend the hose enough to get it away from the manifold so this is how it had to go. Keeps the hoses far enough away from the manifold.

this sucked major but it fits and clears everything. The upper hose I taped up as there is a collar on the fitting and it’s resting on the coolant hose above. Wouldn’t want anything rubbing through there. It should be fine.
    935DC278-9570-48EE-B5AC-EA14C845BC84.jpeg

Path to the catch can. Intake manifold should clear no problem. My charge pipe will be close but it should also be ok. Zip ties will be important lol. I’ll be zip tie those shits to the oem ac line there and it should JUST clear perfectly lol. Stupid close to the serpentine belt/pulleys but whatever. Long as they never meet.

Finished this up on Monday. It was OK. Not too much of a pain. First shot the IM didn’t fit. Was hitting my hoses. After a little rerouting I got the hoses to clear EVERYTHING without issues. Manifold literally dropped back into place.

Done deal. Looks ok. Functional. Kinda messy engine bay but whatever I guess

waiting in tial to ship my waste gate parts still. Apparently they were shipped today. Maybe will be here in time for this weekend so I can get the car back on the road but I’m not holding my breath on that one.

Just watched your video on the PCV plate / can install, I would double-check that your -10 fittings are staying put after putting on the 90 degree adapters. I had issues with mine after trying to put it together when the plate was on the car, rather than when it was off where the force from the hoses and the 90 caused it to work a few degrees loose due to the force it was exerting laterally.

thanks for mentioning this! i am a LITTLE concerned they might move a little causing them to come loose but i did my best to secure the hoses so they literally cannot move lol. hopefully this covers it but maybe ill need to check on them after some driving.

My tial rebuild package has showed up. Let’s get the car back on the street this weekend. Damn lol. It’s time. Had to track down some loctite 272 locally which was a bit of a pain but I got it. Once this is back in the car I just need to swap pmm bushing and that’s it. Good to go.

Dyno date booked for July 20. 3 pulls just to see what the car makes for my classing. I’m hoping to see 350-360whp. It is a hub dyno which apparently read a few points high but that’s fine. It just cannot exceed 370whp or I will be bumped out of class(class is already unfair AF for my car so really don’t want to go up anymore)

my intercooler is being reworked and remounted on July 21-23. Will be picking it up the Friday. Then my race weekend July 24-25 at the BIG SCARY track. I’m so excited. Hoping I can make it. Also hoping I can hit the track for a shake down next weekend. Ahhhhh so many things all the time lol.

Do you have a backup tune you can switch to that makes less power in case you are over?

And make sure to heatsoak the hell out of the intercooler

Lmao. I can’t wait to finally have my fmic setup be not janky. Should do wonders for bats as well.

as for back up tune, honestly, I was gonna run the base map if need be lol.

Will is going to need to alter my wgdc table as well with the new rebuilt waste gate. I was missing and oring before which I’ve now got. Tial told me those would mess with boost control.

Finished this shit up and drove the car around lastnight. Fuck does it feel good.
    B45BFD04-4CAC-4354-8097-613FE6B9B027.jpeg
Swapping out to the softer motor mount insert has completely relaxed the car. It seems WAY less high strung now. It’s amazing. My buddy had a theory that all my shit has been breaking / failing due to the crazy vibrations of bsd and all 3 mounts being more or less solid lol. It’s definitely possible and now...feels like I reinstalled the balance shaft. Feels great.

newly rebuilt WG is working amazing. Turbo response is way way up. Thing builds boost like right away. Like seriously. It’s awesome. I’m down about 3-4psi across the rpm band but that was expected and if I fixed the WG properly then that would show. So that’s cool I know it’s sealed up and workin good now. Just need to get in touch with Will to turn it back up a little.

Not gonna lie 20psi at 7700rpm still feels unreal. I’m not complaining.

slapped on some new meats. Both mounted on a 9” wide wheel. Both 255/40/17. Who’s the liar here
    AE48CCAC-DDED-4352-9C5B-D47D1F7049B6.jpeg

Anyways my oil drain line has started leaking after all of this. I guess I disturbed it so it’s probably fucked now. That’s a little annoying. Not sure I’ll be able to bend up a new hardline with the motor in the car. Might have to go back to a normal people style drain line. Damn.

Did you find a way to support the screamer pipe?

Yea the screamer pipe is REAL close to the Downpipe. Maybe 6” away or less. Plan is to just brace it to the Downpipe. This was also suggested by tial as a good place to go to. I’m not sure if I’ll get my buddy to do it or if I’ll ask the shop to do it while my intercooler is being reworked.

New oil leak. Coming from what looks like the fucking starter or just above/around the starter.

inspected hpfp area and no leakage. Nothing from the side of the head. My guess is rear main seal? Leak is strictly driver side. All over the front of the trans. All over the slave cylinder. clean it up. Comes back like next day. Everything’s coated.

Am I safe to assume rear main here or is there anything in the starter area that could be pissing? My pcv plate is clean and dry. Above the starter is also dry

Pivot shaft seal? Sure it's not gear oil?

It might be gear oil. I thought maybe gear oil at first. But from where? I need to take a closer look around the shift selector I guess but I don’t think it’s coming from there.

Did a live tune thing with Will last night. Got 3 maps done in about an hour. Flash map. 2 4th wot logs(126mph pulls). Pull over. Open laptop. Send logs to Will. Wait on side of road for next map. Rinse. Repeat lol. It was kinda sketchy but definitely fun.
    682F0A17-C3AB-4C3C-9F1A-A1E27A4B23BC.jpeg

this was in preparation for a dyno I had booked today. Too bad I had to cancel. My oil drain line leak is bad and I didn’t wanna leave spots everywhere.

vdyno looking fantastic though. This is peaking 23psi with no injector left. I’m moving a lot of air. Redline at 7500 with 21psi due to just no fuel. This feels amazing. Definitely need to rev it alllllllll the way out for the power though.
    27EA8A75-68DD-48F6-A4CA-B255955A8321.jpeg

Car is now at the next shop. It’s getting all new charge pipes. Intercooler is getting raised up so it doesn’t look dumb anymore. It’s getting a new oil drain line finally!!!!!

after all of that we should finally be off to the track. The car makes so much traction with that power curve and these new federal 595rs-rr tires. I’m getting my new re71’s mounted on my hypergrams tomorrow. Those will hook even harder. Being able to run out 3rd wot around sweepers, on highway on ramps with 0 wheel spin is a great feeling. My 3rd does 100mph btw.

from a little meet the other night
    063A8A94-97EE-4132-88E9-C637498C6B20.jpeg

Can’t wait to get my car back. Should
Be done Thursday or Friday latest.

Picked this thing up today. Was at the fabrication shop since Tuesday night.

all new 2.5” charges pipes all around vs my 2”/2 1/4” mix I had before. All nicely bead rolled vs the tack welds I had before. He mentioned improved throttle response. I noticed improved throttle response so that’s cool.

new oil drain line that does not leak finally lol. Pumped on that.

my crash bar was apparently too hacked up to be useable. They unbolted one side of it and the whole thing folded in half lmao. I can believe it for sure. He built me a nice custom crash bar that’s much much stiffer. Built in provisions to hang my oil cooler later on as well. Also provisions for ducting the front end after the oil cooler goes in.
Guy even went as far as to source a bung for my tow hook so I can retain the license plate bracket. That was awesome as most aftermarket crash bars don’t have that.

    BF968234-FF13-4FAE-B072-BAAA473B9FFC.jpeg
Intercooler hangs much higher now. He left room for the oil cooler to go behind the intercooler and all be ducted as one. I cannot wait for that lol. That shits exciting.
Bats are already better as well just having more of the core exposed now. Guy did a great job. I will be going back to him for sure. He came in a few bucks above the quoted price and he did more work then we talked about. LIKE MAKING A WHOLE NEW CRASH BAR.

as for my mystery oil leak, yea. Rear main confirmed.

my 6 puck setup needs to go back in and my trans needs to be swapped(to deal with my crunchy 5th) so all in all I’m actually not that annoyed. It’s a 3 for 1 job so that’s awesome. My guys charged me like half the jobs cost last time so I’ll gladly pay that again.

hitting the track tomorrow. Gonna take it easy. Couple of light laps just for shake down. I know my rear main is leaking and I have no oil cooler so I will not be pushing. But damn I gotta get out there lol

    This is the end,

had a great day at the track Sunday. Car was stupid fast. But now car is no more.

on the fence of rebuilding again or parting out completely. I have 0 explanation of how or why this happened. I was doing logs 2 minutes before this. I came home. Changed my oil. And that was all she wrote.

i might just part out. This shit hasn’t worked all season

Oem oil light is lit up as well. If it was just my gauge I’d be ok but oem light on? That’s game over.
