Finally got the fortune auto rears in. I had only installed the fronts before the engine let out. Too bad I cant take her for a spin lol. 9k hyperco in the front, 11k swift in the rear. I adjusted my JBR sway bar to it's stiffest setting as well. I also ordered a TB performance rear traction bar because black friday. I have had my eye on it for awhile. I just received the mevotech adjustable rear camber arms today, so those will go in soon too.

For our rear divorced setup, I adjusted the threaded spring perch to the height estimate I wanted and then adjusted the length of the separate shock so that the spring had little to no tension on it. Enough tension so it won't fall out easily, but I can rotate the spring in the perch. Is this correct for setting preload? These are my first set of coilovers. [IMG][IMG]

Got the TB Performance rear bar on. Piece of cake. These MEVOTECH adjustable rear camber arms look solid too. I'll tackle them another day because lazy lol[IMG][IMG]

Got an oil pressure gauge all setup. Ain't nobody got time for loss of oil pressure..again. Placement is questionable, but racecar. [IMG]

Ah yes, the almighty one-eyed yogurt spitter. Always a classic. At this point I'll probably write sell it on all the pistons if I ever have to see them again lol

I dropped off the block, head, and pistons for inspection and measurements at a machine shop a couple days ago. He just got back to me and said everything measured out good. He said he wasn't going to recommend anything I did not need so I believe him to be a trustworthy guy at this point. I'm going to ask him to thoroughly clean both and be on my way. The shop that turned me away previously may be able to squeeze me in if I just ask them to balance the whole rotating assembly only. After that I should be ready to start assembling the motor. All I need is a new set of wrist pin clips and piston rings at this point. I'm still waiting on an order status update on the head gasket I ordered from Oddball almost 3 weeks ago lol

We're on our way. Shout out to StayFrausty for lending me an Engine stand. I'm still waiting on piston rings and wrist pin locks before I can send the whole assembly to get balanced. [IMG]

Oddball motorworks got back to me finally. They are including a cometic timing cover gasket for free with the HG for the delayed response! Top notch guys over there! [IMG]

Wait there's actually a gasket available for the timing cover? I've just been using RTV.

Dropped everything off at the machine shop for balancing today. I should have it all back early next week. Then it's time to drop this crank in! [IMG]

Found a little time today to start on my AN line conversion for all vacuum lines. I'm running 4AN from the ST manifold to a vacuum block. I'm trying to think of a solution to replace the vacuum hose running to the purge valve from the vacuum block, but it may just stay as is. Anyone have pointers or experience with switching everything to AN line/fittings? I found some cheap 10mm banjo bolts with 4an ends for the Tial BOV and wastegate. I'll post photos of those when I get them on as well. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Here's some more photos of the AN conversion mock up. Might mount the ebcs somewhere else than the valve cover lol[IMG][IMG]

Depends on the drugs. Weed is legal here now so my parents are all in on it and trying to get me to try it saying shit like "this is way better than the best weed we had back in the day" and I'm like "What kind of fucking parents are you, trying to get your kid to do drugs?"

The response is "you're a grown ass man you can do whatever you want" so naturally I stomped my foot and left.

    Best damn Enki response ever.

I can't be any sort of high around my 3yr old. Not anymore at least. It's okay there's always Burning Man.
