The engine turns over but won't crank, new battery and I have been charging it. The engine turns over easily and is getting fuel because I can smell it in the cylinders but I haven't tested pressure or injectors. I can hear good suction so compression seems fine but it's not getting any spark. I need a tester, but I've been pulling out the coils and plugs and trying to ground them to the valve cover and get a spark. Coils were working before so I don't see any reason that they would go bad, they all have even resistance, but there's no way all 4 of them went out at once.
The car ran perfectly fine before doing a weekend project where I swapped the ac compressor & condenser also did a valve cleaning and put on the EGR for upcoming smog while I had everything apart. The only code I have is the old EGR code I had from having the EGR deleted. I've read almost every relevant thread on the internet and have tried it all but nothing seems to work.
I've checked all connections fuses and grounds, even tore apart the wire harness to check the ground wire near the hpfp and it was all good. Swapped the crank position sensor because it looks visibly damaged and got soaked with fluids, checked the connector and the wires seem fine. I tried to get spaced correctly with the 20th tooth but I don't have the tool to get it exactly on TDC, so I've been eyeballing it with a screwdriver (don't know what the margin of error for this is).
I don't see a reason that something would just fail on me because it was all working before, so I think i'm just overseeing something stupid. I'm probably wrong tho. I don't even know what to try next, so any direction or other things you could point out would help immensely.
