So coming time for a new rear diff mount, accidentally went from 5th to 2nd (thankfully was only going about 30) and that put the final nail into the stock rear diff mounts coffin. I see that sure has both the rear and front diff mount, but they are the only company to sell the front mount, is it really a need? Or could I just get by with the rear mount?

From what I have read, the Sure front unit is a decent piece. The scene has lost a few options for the front mount over the years.
I only run the Cp-e rear mount on my MS6. I feel that it has tightened the rear up nicely and is quiet. Although I dont hard launch my car (side step or dump the clutch), I do heavy acceleration usually from a slight roll and quick shifts with no issues.
General consensus has been that the rear mount is the more important purchase and many have gone without the front unit.

Thanks for the info! I don't plan to really launch my car, but my goal is 350whp, think I'd be good with just the rear mount?

Keep in mind the way the car is used/abused is the biggest factor. Personally, I would consider a front mount after 300hp, possibly just for insurance as the cost of catastrophe is much higher. The rear mount is a must tho.

Gotcha, guess I'll look into investing for both then, since the last thing I want is for the car to spit out the rear diff. Thank you!

My choice was always going to be the turbine tech unit. Unfortunately I squandered my time and it is no longer available.

I just happened to come across this thread. Interesting video! I've got the TurbineTech, but, not available anymore. I don't recall if it has additional mount points like the SURE unit shown in the video, nor do I recall if it came with upgraded bolts. I got mine years ago, when the car was still practically new. I know SU is hated, but, that front mount in the video actually looks pretty good. I currently have no SU products on my car, but, I think would buy that mount if I didn't have the TT.

For the rear, I've got a CP-e, which seems to still be available. CorkSport also makes a rear and it is cheaper than the CP-e. So you have a few choices for the rear.

I was under the influence that the rear is all you need unless you're constantly launching or using at super high hp. I bought the cpe rear mount. I think you only have to drop the diff for the front and not the rear right?

As far as whether or not you need the front, I had the same basic idea that it was more optional than the rear. Though for what it's worth, Turbine Tech claimed that it was actually the front that was more important and never even made a rear mount. Though they did actually make stiffer bushings for the stock rear mount.

I bought the Turbine Tech front because when I got it, it was on sale, and I figured that I might as well have it done if I was also doing the rear. (I had a shop do mine so I don't really know the effort involved.) But after seeing the broken bolts and broken diff in the video, it looks less optional to me than I had thought.

Just because I was curious about what I have looks like, since I don't remember, I went looking for pictures of the Turbine Tech unit. I found some using the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. Seems like it is a good part and too bad not available anymore. And probably doesn't show up used very often. But just for reference, here are some pictures of it:

I honestly don't think I have even talked about mine in my thread since I received it but I will soon even though I am not installing until my car is running again.

The front mount can be added with the diff installed in the car, but takes a bit of arguing.
When I replaced my rear mount, I dropped the rear subframe completely rolled it out from under the car. Wish I had my Whiteline RSB, I would have enjoyed installing it more at this time too.

I have the Sure mounts and replaced mine about 2 months ago (yes, Sure sucks, I bought mine from a local who had them but never installed them). I did front and rear without dropping the subframe with the diff resting on a floor jack.

For the front mount my bushings were pretty tired so if anyone is thinking about keeping the OEM front mount they should at least check/replace the bushings. The front mount is a relatively easy install IMO.

In hindsight, I wish I had given some more consideration to dropping the subframe for the rear mount. The rear Sure mount seems like a stout unit but it is a pita to try and fit in without dropping the subframe. The CPE and CS mounts have reliefs cut in the front of the mount which give a little clearance for the sway bar (their shape is closer to the shape of the OEM mount), the SURE mount does not which makes the install much more difficult. I would not recommend anyone install the rear Sure mount the way I did, either be prepared to drop the subframe or buy a CS or CPE rear mount.

So you think my car having 230k miles and 500+ hp is a good time to change the front when I upgrade the rear? Lol

Odds are not replacing it will ruin your life like relying on the rhythm method. LOL
