Nice, 300k on it. Impressive! I sent my injectors to injectorRX in Houston to get cleaned. 10/10 recommend
Thank you! I'm also working a spreadsheet that will include links and pricing for everything (w/ shipping). Maybe it'll help someone else some day who might be considering some of the same parts. It's still a work in progress though - I'll have it refined with time.
Looks like a great list - have you compression tested your motor? (I see the Overspeed block on there, not sure if you're doing that immediately or have plans to run the OEM block until then on the S3). Also highly recommend injector cleaning per Raider's comment. Those things get NASTY real fast.
Thanks! The new engine is a complete, assembled motor from Mazda. All the parts on this list are getting installed along with the new engine. I'm currently reading 200 / 145 / 145 / 200. A product of blow-by and hundreds of thousands of miles, no doubt. The car still runs ok, relatively speaking. All four injectors are getting serviced prior to their installation on the new engine
Install went well, no major issues to speak of. Big thanks to Javier Hernandez in LA for pulling through and helping me with the build. The only hiccup was that I got the wrong clutch (10066 is for the NA; 10064 is for the Turbo model). My clutch looked fine, so I just kept it for now and will replace it later down the line. Still breaking in the new motor, but it otherwise feels like a new car - just need to get some better tires down the line, perhaps with some different wheels.
