I have a newer clutch probably 3k on it maybe 5k miles. And it’s slipping as soon as I go into fourth gear sometimes at peak boost it 3rd. I was curious it a bad check valve could cause pressure in the hydraulic system of the clutch or are those 2 systems separate from each other?

Completely separate systems. Only the brake master cylinder is a reservoir for the clutch master cylinder.

What clutch did you use? If it's slipping there could be any number of reasons. Pedal failure to return to released height, sticking slave cylinder, cracked pressure plate, cracked or worn disc. You may need to pull the transmission again to check the components.

    It’s pretty intermittent,
I just used a luk stock replacement.
The pedal feels.. weird. I did get a cheap slave from Autozone but it would pop half way down and in the same spot on the way back up right at the engagement point not an audible pop but it would spring your foot up so it’s a little difficult to drive but that has kind of subsided it seems like. I am pretty sure it is coming all the way back up doesn’t feel like it’s sticking or anything.
I think your right about pulling the tranny. It’s just such a pia without a lift.

Have you properly bled the system? Have any air trapped that you're not aware of?

I bled it twice, but maybe…. I actually tried that deglazing technique and that really seemed to help a lot.
