It does not look too torn apart.

Haha our versions of torn apart are different me thinks. If I wasn't trying to have it ready for my school's annual car show I'd dig into it a bit deeper. I'll take care of that when the new engine goes in.

New axle is in, as are the new inner and outer tie rods. It all went in without a fuss fortunately. And today I recoated my valve cover. It's the same color as before but I wanted a bit more flake in it. I'm SUPER happy with how it turned out and I can't wait to get it back on the car.

It's so hard to do this color justice with a photo so here's a vid:

Love me some good purple. I had the same idea for my car but I went with illusion blue. Looks good man, slowly but surely coming along!

Thanks! Yea I love this color. Originally I was going to use a candy teal but candy colors are a bitch to be consistent with.

Hopefully ordering my new turbo tomorrow and then I can start working with my fab guy to bang out the new setup!

Well I get the turbine housing tomorrow, buuuut here's my new turbo!

And here it is out of the box:

And next to a k04 and my BNR S3:

I was originally going to get an S256 but then I found the new S257SXE. And then for like no more money I found the S362SXE and I caved. Brand new from a vendor with my turbine housing of choice for under a grand shipped just can't be beat. It has a nice billet wheel as well as a (turbo) wheel speed sensor port on the compressor cover, which I intend to set up once I get the funds. Hoping to begin fab work on it this weekend!

Nice looking turbo. Whats the flow rating on it? Any compressor wheel size specs?

Flows 76lbs/min. Compressor inducer is 62mm and exducer is 84mm. Here's the compressor map:

Wow, thats a lot of flow. I would say spool is going to kill you but you are going TS so that will help a ton.

I just want a sign of life at 4k. Since I'm switching to VT I'll be revving out to 8k. We'll see though. I'll be stepping down to a much smaller turbine housing in a couple of months.

I've got other tricks up my sleeve for more fuel. Community will be seeing said tricks before the year is over. 2016 is the year of fuel.
[doublepost=1459474073][/doublepost]Turbine housing came in today! The housing is made by a company called AGP, they're the only one that I know of who make a twinscroll T3 housing for an S300. The A/R is 1.25 but I'll be getting a 1.0 in a couple of months when they release it. Ordering the rest of stuff to make oil lines and mock them up on my spare engine in the shop.

Not much of an update but my roommate ended up buying an S257SX-E for his cobalt. Here's some comparison pics:

Not a huge update but things are slowly coming together. Hopefully ordering my intercooler tomorrow along with some other little things. Then I just need to buy some stuff to finish my oil drain line and I'll be just about done buying stuff, for now. I got the stuff for the oil feed the other day. I powdercoated the compressor cover while I had it off to drill the hole for the boost source and clearance the bottom side of it. Lastly, my roommate and I made a ghetto paint booth in our living room and sprayed our turbine housings with some 2000F VHT paint. I doubt it'll do much but hopefully it'll keep the housing from getting too rusty. When I step down to a smaller housing I'm going to have it sent to Relentless to get ceramic coated before throwing it on the car.

Finally got the oil drain line made. Damn this thing was a tight squeeze. Ended up having to wrap it around the transfer case so we'll see how it does. I ended up throwing a heat sleeve over the braided line because it will be somewhat near the exhaust and I'm probably going to wrap the downpipe in header wrap just to be safe. Now I can finally put the damn thing in the car :)

Well it's been a while since I've updated this but the car is 95% together and running. Just need to finish up some exhaust bits. I made the switch over to Versatune and am loving it. My basemap is on the car and it idles good but I can't take it out yet until I finish the exhaust.

Curious to see how the VT works out for you. Depending on a few things, I might end up switching one day.

I also see you hiding an intake manifold.....

It's treated me great so far. I think the part that makes me the most excited is now I can monitor up to 16 things wirelessly. I was always annoyed have to run my AP cable around the car. Also, it's very nice having proper table names and descriptions in the tune editor. Swapping my map over took a bit but was a breeze. If you ever have any questions about it feel free to ask!

And hehe yesh, I must say I'm like it so far. I'm really looking forward to see how it helps my powerband.

Do you see any advantages to bluetooth monitoring with VT over Android/Torque Pro?
