Yes indeed. I've got most of the stuff for an engine build, just missing bearings, fasteners and gasket stuff.

No, engine has never been out. I've helped my roommate pull his engine a couple times over the past year.

Replaced the BPV hose, tightened down the coupler on the compressor inlet, and gave it two more MAF cals. Fueling is pretty much all dialed in. Going to go back and do a bit of smoothing but it's there and responding correctly now :)

Wired up the fuel system and gave it a test. Bogged the hell out of the car as soon as it got into boost but that's good!

Here's a log of the fuel test: https://www.revisionsrus.com/logs/231

How is the Damond mani adapter working for you? Still waiting patiently on the MS6 specific kit (if there is one), but I'm really interested in cold pipe solutions, seeing as there's a bunch of crap down where the new throttle body location is.

You'd better hope your car is up and running more often than this guy right here.

It's working great. My bench testing showed that it flows super evenly and the car was running way lean on my base map so it definitely flows more air. I pulled the mani to install my fuel kit the other day. Took me around an hour and a half start to finish, would've been faster if the power steering pump wasn't such a bitch. I'm going to run it by the DM guys if it's okay for me to post pics of my routing. Word of warning though, the route I chose isn't for everyone. My pipes go the opposite direction of the majority of how most 6 guys run theirs. Using the normal routing (hot side going down passenger side) will be easier than the route I chose.

My car's been running for a while. Just haven't been posting a lot of updates because I've been dragging my feet and starting a new job in a few weeks that I wasn't expecting to get has thrown car projects to the sideline.

Any word from DM guys? I'm actually pretty interested on flipping the routing like you did because I had an idea of tapping the windshield wiper reservoir for meth, and it'd be a straight shot from the tank to a throttle spacer. Could be more work than it's worth, but I like creativity.

Also hope the fueling is coming along well, can't wait to see the final product.

Yea, I'm allowed to share photos now but before I do I just want to say that the route I chose is not at all the easiest. There are other routings that are much easier and require less (or no) modifications to get it to fit. The easiest route would probably be the route people typically use, run the hot pipe down the passenger side and the cold pipe back up the driver side up from the bottom.

My routing has the hot pipe run down the driver side, thru the hole where the stock airbox resonator sits and into the intercooler. Coming out of the intercooler, the cold pipe makes a quick ~120* turn thru a hole in the side of the core support plastic that I had to cut and over the subframe. Then it runs over a power steering line and under the lower radiator hose, the hardline that's the PS return line that comes after the cooler had to be replaced with a soft line as well. Finally it runs up between the oil filter housing and the dipstick to make it into the manifold.

My reasoning for running the piping this was is that it doesn't use many couplers, it keeps the piping relatively short, it allows me to retain a BPV without having to move to a BOV, and I personally like how it looks.

Interesting. That does look like quite a tight squeeze after the IC. I was thinking essentially the same route as most conventional set ups, just flip sides. So was there not enough room to go around the radiator support, the angle up from there on the passenger side?

The only way you'll be able to get the cold pipe to work on the passenger side is to do what I did or go under the subframe but then you lose tons of ground clearance. Flipping the conventional route won't work because where the hot pipe comes down from the passenger side is on the outside of the frame rail so it's not really in the engine bay where it comes down.

Well, worked a bit on the tune some more today. Going to do more work tomorrow. Really only touched timing today, I'm happy with how timing looks but I'm going to have to extend it further tomorrow which means redo what I just redid lol.

Threw one of my runs into VD and I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing. Fueling is pretty clean, 20psi and 6* of timing. I was running the same amount of timing before but at a lower load value so it'll be interesting to see what happens as I move further up. I've added ~6* and that picked up around 50hp (this is also a couple PSI higher). Ambient temps were around 45F so it's pretty cool to see BATs only 15-20F higher. Looks like IDCs are going to run out soon but I don't really want to venture much further than 20psi on 93 so I'm going to turn on the fueling kit to bring my IDCs down and get some cooling effect to hopefully raise my octane ceiling a bit and just make the rest of the power with timing. If I could get 350whp on 93 I'd be VERY happy.

Lastly, I was really happy to find a gas station like a mile from my house that has E85! I'm really getting antsy to throw some in.

Looking good. I'm curious why you're running only 6 degrees @ 6,700? I forgot the exact nature of them, but I've read from some of the reputable tuners cautions about running too little timing, and how it can be dangerous. I think the rule of thumb is you want at least ~10 degrees @ redline. Someone, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Yea too little timing can cook exhaust valves. I realized I had an error, my OL max table was lower than my OL normal table. I mirrored them and it went up to around 14* at redline after my latest revision.

Here's 3 runs I got in after doing that, about 4psi lower and 10* hotter ambient and BATs.

Today was full of excite. I bought wheels and tires from Phate 17x9.5 Enkei NT03+M with 255/40 RS3s. Hopefully I'll get to have some fun before winter hits.

I also finally got my rear springs! I'll be throwing them in tomorrow or Wednesday.

Eibach Race Springs line, right? I've always heard such great stuff about Swifts, and I ran their Spec Rs before going to the Ground Control setup. I was very happy with them. In terms of conventional performance springs (not coilover springs), I still think they're tops.

But I was talking to a well-known/extremely reputable setup/racing/tracking/track support shop (at the tracks every weekend) about maybe swapping out the Eibach Race Springs on my GC's with the Swifts coilover versions one day if I ever changed spring rates. They adamantly warned me it would be a BAD thing to do. In their practical experience (which is extensive - hundreds of cars), the first time Swifts get full compression/coil bind, they're never the same again (in a bad way). They recommend Eibach Race Springs and Hypercos to all of their customers, never Swifts.
