If you look at the IC you will notice the wear pattern. The ducting sat forward so i had the room to spare. Originally the ic casting hit runner #4 rib when its on the oem mounting stud. Shifting it forward let it drop down a bit. Keep in mind i have a 3.5 inch ets so something smaller should afford some more room. The ducting is compressed almost to the max. The pipe i used was 2.75 so i could also use smaller pipeing.

I'll have to look into that.

I was planning to get a relentless customs PNP IM since summer, trying to save to buy all parts at once and one tune. Just to find out they closed last summer. Looks like this I'm is the way to go. What's updates on TMIC/FMIC piping? There isn't info on damonds site about IC solutions

One person got it working but it's far from a production solution. I'll be giving that a shot next.

As for fmic you basically make your own cold pipe setup siliconesintakes.com has piping and couplers....There are people who have done it and can help you out with what you may need, as for tmic like enki said, that's a work in progress it's been done but not well enough to want to do it all the time

As frequently as I do compression tests, etc., and seeing how superior the cooling is with a FMIC (yes, even with methanol as part of the equation - FMIC + methanol >>> TMIC + methanol), I'm happy to not have some heatsoaked IC core over my engine. And as far as responsiveness goes - the argument you hear about "all that extra FMIC piping" - I noticed zero difference in responsiveness.

I don't think relentless is doing any work anymore anyways.

Adapted performance is supposed to be offering PNP intake manifolds soon

Relentless manifolds pop up for sale every now and then; I'm interested to see how AP's works out once he's got everything finalized on it.

I'm just curious, @Matt@DM and @Farhan@DM , what boost pressure did you test these FoST manifolds up to? The reason I ask is I was talking to a very highly respected tuner for the platform and mentioned I was going to go this route. I told him my goals: GTX3071r Gen II or EFR7163 and 500whp, and he said he strongly recommended the JMF or 16w Fabworks IM instead since I'll be running methanol for the extra fueling. He feels those manifolds would hold up much better to a potential methanol backfire, like the one that blew the plate off the CP-e IM that was on Justin's (the FREEK's) car when he was testing it.

Can you weigh in on this?

Meth backfire can obviously nuke an aluminum piece. What would you rather replace - $800 aluminum, or $75 plastic?

So you think it'd have melted that CP-e if it didn't blow of the cover? o.0
Given the cost of those options, I'd definitely go with plastic. But I didn't think a methanol backfire would perforate a JMF or 16w. Are you saying it would literally explode one of those IMs?

I'm still interested what psi those FoST are proven to...

If its a big enough backfire the material won't matter.

The cpe had a junk design for attaching the plate, it would have leaked under high boost pressure all by itself

To answer your initial question, the manifold has been tested to 80+ static psi by others without failure. We have not verified that ourselves.

The first ST manifold we fitted to a car went 30+psi of boost on meth for months with a gtx3076, then switched to PI and continued to push further with no issue. There are many examples of this. It's no secret the aluminum IMs will likely hold up better than this "plastic" manifold with backfires, but something else will let go eventually; an example of a coupler going through a bumper comes to mind. The trick is to avoid the backfire.

Have your tuner shoot me or Matt a text if they want. There's no love lost over their honest recommendations, and most have my number.

I don't think Justin's too worried about it. It was just his recommendation to me. Do you have his #?
Backfires seem easy enough to avoid: just when you pull into neutral after a WOT pull, rest your foot on the accelerator a little to let the engine spin more quickly for a moment or two to burn off the extra methanol if you're spraying a lot. I'm no expert, but it seems to me that'd address the issue. Your FoST is still my preferred IM solution, come build time.

Also, product idea: an under-piping kit designed specifically to work with your FoST IM kit, both hotside and coldside.

The only gripe i had with the pipeing was the bend coming off of the tb past the oil filter. The oil cooler coolant line was in my way but with 2 90 degree fittings and some heater hose it was moved with no issues. As far as the charge piping goes the prebent 90's are to long and stick down a lot . If you cut it you get to close to the oil filter as well as loosing a bead roll in the pipe. Maby you guys could offer just that one piece of pipe? Something that comes off of the tb it self and snakes down and around that fucking oil filter then points twards the dr side?

You can cut the pipe accordingly and get a bead done. You can also make a diy bead maker if you have the parts. Honestly, it's inexpensive to do our own kits vs having dm make mock ups until they nail a shape down and then produce pipes. When I mocked mine on my car i had issue with the pipes after the oil filter cuz fuck me.
