Alright. Time I made a thread.

First it started with a 16k mile speed 3 that was staying stock

Then it went to a V2 ap

    Then + test pipe

Then + hpfp and and cobb intake + tip

Then + tmic AP v3 and ots tune from a reputable tuner.

Then cpe triton + full tune where I made ~300 whp on e33.

@Maisonvi hooked me up with his friend selling some sweet Work CR kaiwami wheels and made me a maple wooden shift knob

Bought a @Matt@DM rmm (my first new part) and a rsb from Johanna. That setup went 13.4 @ 108 on conti dw tires with a soft launch. This was stock suspension and first cat. I was so happy with that. @MS3brohanna won our class at autox when she drove it. I was 3rd. We were 1 and 2 for a minute. Then a pesky FoST got in between us. One of the annoying dudes like @aaronc7 ;)

Won @Kim@CorkSport giftcard and a @Matt@DM and @Farhan@DM gift card at the dragon. ended up with a CS 3.5 bar map sensor + DM stage 1 occ VTA + retune. That gave me some more torque but still meh.. also won a membership there from @Raider because we have an awesome admin. Huge thanks to those vendors for their donations. Nothing but good things to say about them when I've met them in person or the products I received from them.

Then I agreed to buy @MS3brohanna corksport turbo when they thought @phate blew up and she went k04 to continue their autox domination.

And @JohnnyTightlips aka JD agreed to host me and @SharksInSpace at his house and install the Turbski and some other stuff

So then I got @Adamizme 3" intake, an ebcs on ebay, ebay catless dp, and oem dp gasket, turbo gasket, crush washers for coolant and oil, boost tubes, and a tune from @Jason@DizzyTuning.

I took cobbs tuning class which was utter shit. I got tips from JD and @VTMongoose on how to self tune. Not there yet, but learning slowly after reading and reading and reading. phate and jd suggested just reading vt table descriptions to understand a bit more about what I was doing.

I was drunk and bought some fd rx7 wheels with Mickey et streets. If the weather cooperates might try for 12s on this cs turbo after its tuned on e.

also don't want to forget @KiwiFlavor @alexwlwsn @VoodooJef @neganox @Darthxar @Sho and @phate for the advice and/or simple friendship they've given me along the way

But regardless, this post is to show NATOR is still going and willing to help. Nobody needs pics of a k04 car with an intake and intercooler. I should have attached a shitty hood pic w/ wheels. But we still have amazing vendors and people in this community. It's incredible how many amazing people I've met. Look at how many tags and red is in this post. It's mind blowing

well well well. where to start

Went to JD's house with sharks. We dicked around with sharks stereo thursday. Went to pull my O2 and it stripped. Nobody had one locally. Thankfully amazon could do over night sipping for like $8. so solved that problem.

they cleaned jd's valves and did injector seals friday I think. I installed the turbo. Finished up on saturday. I drove the car around to get some miles. I saw about 14 psi which seemed right. Then decided to log a pull.

    23 psi

Thought we hooked something up wrong. So ended up dicking around with some stuff and no avail. Finally this morning we disconnected the actuator and held the wg flap open with bailing wire or whatever. did a pull and made no power til 5k when it started spooling and made 24 psi up top.

So that was bad. Decided to put the stock down pipe back in it (had done 3" catless with the turbo install) JD let me use his since my O2 threads were destroyed. "It'll only take 2 hours." Well.... that was a shit show. 2 of the studs stayed in the turbo. They were in the worst spots. Middle top which was blocked in the front by an O2 bung on the catless and the sides by mani/cowl. and bottom right which you can only get to under the car by the axle and shit. DP wouldn't come off with these studs in. So JD had to double nut the studs and try to back one out using just a wrench with like 1" of travel. Then had to fight the stock dp back in. The support bracket got hacked to get it to fit back in. Idk how I got it out so easy. Hopefully that doesn't cause a problem, since there is a test pipe and not a heavy ass 2nd cat, I think it'll be fine. It feels rock solid. At the time I didn't think it was a permanent solution so nfg, just get it in and get me home kinda thing.

But........ now I guess I'm gonna send it on the stock 1st cat and see how it does. Thinking more about it, I'm nervous to even do a high flow catted dp after how bad it ran away catless. It's already making more power than the K04 past 5k, even on the basemap which only added like 15% wgdc. I'd like to see what kind of power it can make and how it handles winter. Then I'll decide if I want a catted dp.

Kinda sucks I couldn't go catless like planned, but it's fine. Car was too loud for my liking catless anyway, and I'm mildly environmentally conscious so yeah. Even on the base map I'm making more power past 5k than the K04. it's only gonna get better from here.

All in all I can't thank @JohnnyTightlips aka JD enough for his help this weekend. I would have been screwed if he didn't help me get the stock cat in after figuring out catless wasn't gonna work.

Almost blew it up. I guess some cars have logic to pull the throttle plate when fuel pressure drops.

    Probably saved my motor.

left is afr, middle left act fuel press, middle right throttle plate, right is wgdc.

Developed some sticky death. I pulled the spill valve and cleaned it and dumped some SL1 in the tank. put it back together. There was a little varnish, nothing horrible. Car was working fine after that but I wasn't convinced it was fixed. I was being a bitch and whining I didn't have tools but some help from a friend in his garage, pulled the hpfp and disassembled. It was clean looking. I didn't think it was black death. The autotechs weren't seized, but I couldn't spin them 360 or slide the piston on and off freely. After a little twisty turny pully twisty it freed up. Sprayed it with carb cleaner and the runoff was black. Little cleaning and it moved perfectly again. No scoring or anything. Lubed it with SL1 and back together it went.

Don't just run e30 all the time and assume it'll be fine!

none yet. I hope that sticky piston was the culprit. I've been watching the hpfp pressure after I shut the car off. seems to be doing what it's supposed to.
