Anyone have the spec for the big banjo bolt that the oil filter adapter uses on a cx9? I know this is not a cx9 thread but I can't find it anywhere :(

Banjo bolt? I’m sure it uses crush washers... 20-25ft lbs. that should crush ‘em. If it leaks go a little tighter, if it strips... sorry.

    Alternator assembly.
    Bolts 3 & 4
    Should be in-lbs, not ft-lbs.

Finally getting to use the specs from this thread to start putting the engine back together. This is very helpful instead of having to search the entire manual. Thanks.

The exhaust manifold flange that is pictured here is wrong.

Realized that when I swapped mine.

I just followed a similar criss cross pattern when putting everything back together.

Anyone know the actual specs for the oil pickup tube? Might be something else to add to this list as I am installing a new tube and o-ring on my engine this time around.

I went ahead and gave it some blue loctite and just tightened it fairly snug without obviously screwing anything up and stripping a bolt or something haha Just would be good for others down the road.

I haven't looked myself however have you looked at the workshop manual? Should be able to find it in there or the assembly manual, we have them in the metal member section.

I have all of these, I'll try and remember to get them uploaded tonight. If someone else doesn't beat me to it.

Hpfp cam housing is listed already, other two are listed in the shop manual which is linked in the post above yours and can be pulled from there. If you provide the specs I can update the OP as OP hasn't been around for a while

    Super super helpful main man
Anyone got any info for what is the best order of components/tubes/bellsNwistles to install, before the engine installation, on the engine before mounted, and to the engine after mounting?
I have tried looking everywhere and most vids and threads skip through electrical harness and small external parts (heat shielding, tubes, lines, etc)
Would be super! my first engine re-build ever and trying to get it finally put together :D

    Hello and welcome to MSO!
JT has a crazy build thread and details everything I would follow his order https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/johnnytightlips-build-maximum-carnage.7025/

also lots of great how to within this section: https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?forums/mazdaspeed-3-how-to.109/

If not in there create you own build thread and ask the specific questions you want answers to

    Edit: also this thread https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/how-to-assemble-a-forged-motor.15530/#post-107256
