Once my genpu was paid off I did the completely retarded thing, sold it, and immediately started car payments on another POS.

    A 2017 Chevy SS.

Why did I get a fucking Chevy?
    - Chevy didn't make the car. Holden did so it's slightly better and I get to have mouth-breather neckbeard arguments like "buh buh buh it's not a chevy it's a holden."
    - I secretly have a boner for LS platforms.
    - I secretly always wanted a G8 GXP.
    - I like big 4 door sedans.
    - GM had a 20% off sale right as I started looking for one.

So far the following has been done to the car:
    - Chevy bits have been swapped for Holden bits. Which oddly enough you can purchase at any GM dealership.
    - Paint correction and ceramic coating done by Jacksonville's True Image Auto Care. (https://www.facebook.com/trueimageautocare/)
    - American Racing Headers 1 7/8" catless headers. Headers were also ceramic coated.
    - Roto-Fab intake.
    - King Springs SSL kit.
    - AEM X series wideband kit.
    - Sealed catch can.
    - BMR tunnel brace
    - ECU and Transmission tuning done by Ajay Lee at Anonymous Calibrations. (https://www.facebook.com/Anonymous_Calibrations-899475433584820/)

    Future plans include:
    - DSX Flex Fueling kit.
    - Some sort of supercharger.
    - Some sort of blower cam to support said supercharger.
    - Pushrod, trunion, springs etc. to support said cam.
    - Vented catch can.

Good looking car, but so damn pricey. Would be a great DD.

Yeah in a few years when Im looking for a new DD, it will be considered. I would really like to get back into a speed, but they will be pretty long in the tooth by the time I get a house and truck.

He also has a mid chassis brace.

Very important mod. Added 0.5G in 45* turns at 70mph.

Glad to see you making a thread about the sleeper!

Correct. Without the midbrace, the car will accordion into a toothpick during a side impact scenario according to the 70 y/o computer chair engineers on ssforums.

I wish. Rednecks would at least be like "small block, fuck that. 454 or bust!" SSforums is like "OMG YOU NEED A 4 POST LIFT IN ORDER TO PROPERLY LIFT THE CAR! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING PINCH WELDS!!"

    It could be worse...

On the mustang forums they would tell you that you need a special adapter to lift the mustang, that only Ford and Steeda can make. And if you dont use it, you could fuck up the exhaust bearings and leak out all your blinker fluid.

Yes I would, but it would be your blinker bearings and your splunker pins which hold your fenders on.[IMG]

Ended up replacing the front swaybar endlinks this weekend because the stock driver side endlink decided to crap out and sound like a bunch of rocks in a can every time I went over the smallest of bumps. Probably due to the lowering springs. Replaced with a set of BMR adjustable endlinks which oddly enough didn't come provisioned with zerk fittings.

I don't have PTSD, it's flat out hate. Nothing personal neganox, after my experiences with the Grenade Motor co. You will never see a 90's or up GM product in my driveway. 49688575_2388973301132354_3276903375030976512_n.jpg

Local shop here in town Mack Motorsports (https://mackmotorsports.com/) had a dyno day to support veterans and first responders. My tuner was also there along with a large number of folks that he tuned, so I went on up to get a baseline run done. Car did good and Ajay cleaned up a weird 6L80e issue where it would downshift twice to drop 3 gears and he resolved an issue where the car would want to switch to the idle fuel table instead of off throttle decel when I was, ya know, off throttle decelerating.

Installed the over-the-radiator VCM intake yesterday. Tune probably needs to be looked at as the trims have leaned out a bit. E85 sensor going in this weekend sometime.
