Hey all, i'm bored at work and figured i'd start writing a build thread. This isn't going to be super in detail, but I just want people to know what I have going on.

Bought my car used with 1 owner in Brighton, MI with 36k on the clock. First car I have financed so it was a little hectic. (pic when it was stock as hell)

I wasn't working a very high paying job when I got this car. Almost every paycheck would go towards this thing (living with parents rent free, thanks mom and dad). I was coming from Miata's and before this has 2 of them. An old 91 that I got into my first accident with (not my fault), and a 94 with the 1.8 that was stripped, BC coils, Wilwood front brakes, roll bar, full exhaust, the works. It was a track car that I daily drove for almost a year and a half.

First mod was obviously HPFP internals and an AP that I got from Cobb using the Affirm option (again, I was broke and excited for this car). After that, I got in touch with Rob at Hypnotic to really start getting involved with this car.

Fast forward a few months or so. Intake, HPFP, AP, ended up getting a CP-e Triton and an ATP catless DP to give it some rumble and to breathe a little easier (can't get picture to save). Then things started getting serious. New job, more money, and more time and focus to really think about what I wanted to do.

I was out with my GF getting ice cream local to us and all of a sudden went to put it in 6th and no go. Couldnt get into any gear and could smell nothing but clutch. Ended up towing the car to a Suburban Mazda dealer by me and that was a nightmare I don't even want to get into. Had it towed again to where I originally bought the car and was diagnosed immediately as clutch failure by my favorite tech and fellow Speed enthusiast. [IMG]

I was not financially ready for this, so I was scrambling. Went with an OEM and Fidanza combo, figured i'd upgrade while I was in there.[IMG]

Yadda yadda few months or so later I went onto E85 to try something new and was instantly hooked.[IMG]

This is what REALLY gave me the modding bug. Just the increase in power from this alone was enough to really get me going. Mod after mod, I got this going.

Here is where it gets real.
The highlight of it all in my eyes.[IMG]

Full Race vertical flow FMIC. Priced so good I couldn't pass it up. After that came the turbo. BNR S4v2 from Edge[IMG] Grimmspeed 3 port from a fellow member, HTP 4 inch intake, CS battery box, and all the jazz.

Obligatory picture with me and my friends having a blast getting drunk and using power tools (me being the one getting fondled).[IMG]

Once that was all done, loaded the base map, and everything worked on first startup. No issues with install whatsoever. It was such a relief. Was also a moment of pride and all that gay shit for me as everything finally came together.

    Got new tires[IMG]

and my Evo wheels powdercoated [IMG]

Also got a set of KW V3s from a fellow member parting out and some camber plates from CS that I don't have pictures of because I am bad a documenting things.

(btw these tires are noisy as fuck but are oh so sticky. Haven't spun them yet and have had them on for a little bit now).

I don't know exactly what power I am making. I haven't asked for a VDyno from Rob and I haven't done it for myself. We just finished up my tune 2 days ago and this car is a monster. Pulls so hard, but yet so smooth through the gears it's unreal. I estimate it's around ~370/~380 if I was to guess. Not sure, but the butt dyno is pleased (and clenched 99% of the time).

I have a meth kit i'm slowly installing and will be sure to update this thread with more pictures and updates as I go along. I'm sorry this was a terrible start as I hate writing but I wanted to share with everyone what I am working with. Feel free to ask me anything if you're installing something and need a hand! I'll try and lend some experience knowledge if I can.

Those Evo wheels look great in that colour, how do you like the full race FMIC? from what I've read about it I'd love one but I think once my K04 finally dies ill go BNRs3 and stay TMIC. Nice build overall! any plans to build the engine?

Thank you! I love the wheels. One of my favorite parts on the car by far.

I love the FMIC. My temps are nice and chilly when I need them and I have next to 0 lag given how short the piping is. Very quality piece but the retail price is ridiculous, and if I haven't have found the deal I did I would have went with the Treadstone kit.

Engine will be built. When? I have no idea. Trying to keep the tune as conservative as I can and Rob is doing a great job, but he's also letting me have fun and keeping everything in check. I have plans to build with Overspeed Motorsports when the time comes as Mr. Keefover has a perfect build for my goals. A local of mine just had his done by him and it was insane.

I appreciate the kind words, man. Really makes me happy how much love I've been getting on how the car looks. Took a lot to get it where it is power and looks wise.

I feel ya. I gave up my other hobbies just to dump money into my car. I still have a ways to go before I get to the power level I I want to be at, but having a Gen 1 there isn't a lot you can do to make the exterior standout. Hell most people don't even know what my car even is. lol

It's still hard cosmetic wise on a GenPu. It's just more aggressive and sleeker than a GenJuan imo. Looks more aggressive with the right kind of wheel/suspension setup. I just want the car to look good, but still stomp out a Mustang or Scat off of a light when the situation arises. Nothing better than seeing the look on a V8 guys' face when a little 4cyl puts a bus or 2 on their car.

Well, I don't have pictures right now but I snagged a few blemished vanity covers from @Adapted_Performance lat week or so. Also got provided a Shift Hammer V3. Will be installing today and probably taking a few pictures. Will also be working on more meth stuff if I have time, all that's left is mounting the pump, putting in the spacer, finishing up the meth lines, and then wiring the damn thing. Also have to get my WotBox installed so I don't blow up in between shifts. It's going to be a busy week/weekend.

Man, I have been slacking on the updates.

    Kidding. Nothing much as happened.

Figured out I cracked one of my Evo X wheels somehow (thanks Michigan roads).

so I went ad got it repaired and dropped it off at the powdercoaters to get it redone. I will hopefully see it back in the next few days. THank god for local friends to loan me wheels tho.

I really gotta do a new sticker layout. This one bores me.... And that bumper/quarter needs to get fixed. Maybe that will be next once the wheels are back and I get an alignment.

The turbo is still going SUPER strong and this thing pulls like a beast. I am estimating myself in the 370hp/360tq range, just from looking a VDyno. Once the meth is tuned for I want to try and get on a dyno before winter and get a concrete number. Not looking forward to winter for the switch back to 93 and not much fun. Gonna try and get a beater car for the winter so I don't have to drive my Speed. Meth kit is also done, just SUPER lazy and procrastinating putting my TB spacer in. Plus I want to try and get my Innovate PSB-1 failsafe in and working beforehand but finding an exhaust guy around me is proving a pain in my ass.

But that's all for now. I'll continue to update as I do stuff.

So, haven't updated this in a while.

Got the methanol kit installed a few months back, everything going really well.
Except the stupid super bad boost creep I am getting with my setup. This S4 is creep happy with my mods and so far nothing has stopped it.

    So I have a solution.
The Tial 44mm EWG paired with a stock manifold @JohnnyTightlips will be providing, should be PLENTY to rid my car of creep, and make cool noises at the same time. Super excited to get it on the car next season and really crank everything up, just to blow it up :)
[doublepost=1541719365][/doublepost]Also, yes, I am aware all of my images are broken. I'll fix it tomorrow maybe if I have time and feel like it.

    Please don't remind me :(
    I hate looking at it.

But at the time of the accident my deductible was set at $1500... I ain't got that kind of money to drop on some body work. Hoping to get it all fixed by the end of the year or beginning-ish of next year.

So since I haven't been working on the car due to it being winter, I have been just going over what i'm gonna do next season.

In that time, me and my hubby @SharksInSpace have been planing out a port injection system for when the time comes. I took it upon myself to make a spreadsheet to lay everything out along with a drawing I made (I am 4). This is going to be a returnless setup, utilizing push lock hose to make things a little cheaper and a hell of a lot easier.

    Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...Roafk4R/pubhtml?widget=true&headers=false
This setup is based off of using a stock manifold and using the Damond spacer kit. Feel free to steal my idea and tell everyone you came up with it. I just thought I would share.
