There’s no way you’ll be able to do that unless you have incredibly low miles and even then I still wouldn’t trust it because you did blow a head gasket. Your head is still going to have to be taken to a machine shop anyway to be checked for warp and possibly milled.

Well not making any commitments yet until I pull off the head look at the cylinder walls inspect everything to make sure it is all good. I hope for the best that all is in pretty good condition because the car has 100k miles kinda high but still low for the year. Worst case I will just replace head gasket to get it running and sell car get new speed haha. Also since I got coolant all in the oil, I was told that its best to just replace all bearings because the coolant is corrosive and probably ate away at a few things mainly why i wanted to rebuild short block.

Simply put, pop n drops dont work well on this car. There have been a few done and none of them lasted.

@Mason Sorry for late reply i didn't get the alert for some reason. 5000 miles now still going, logs are great still on same set up, haven't changed anything else just did an oil change recently with T6 again burning no oil and no shavings.

like djohns said at 100k you'll be better off pulling the motor and machining and building or just swapping head gaskets and drive it as is or trade. Your cylinders could be warped and cause premature failure and building it twice.

Still running mileage is only 7k since I've been driving my taco too. Just installed 8th port injection using the damond plate wired and dialed in with a walbro 525 runs great need to get a wotbox eventually too.

No issues other than stock clutch started slipping up top 6-7k will get a ACT 6 puck pro or street still deciding when sales come around in November then maybe try out the cst6

Glad to hear the engine is still holding up! Not surprised the stock clutch is finally going seems as if you got some good use out of it at your power level though.

Did you just swap the clutch and pressure plate, how many total miles on that flywheel? always thought they need to be scuffed up or resurfaced if reused.

Are there any flywheels that the stock clutch can be used with? Im not sure why there would be a difference in fit, as im not aware of any differences aside from dual mass on the oem FW.

Fidanza flywheel works with stockish clutch disk but I think rock auto also offers a dual mass now too.

I'm using Fidanza with stock (Luk) pressure plate and clutch disk. Make sure you either clean all the green anti corrosion shit off the flywheel friction surface or drive it shortly after install.

No modbug so no big updates. Currently just been driving it regularly with pulls here and there with some cars and it still runs great nothing unusual so far no blowby/smoke/powerloss/issues even on long drives.

I don't even get the nasty shit spraying out the exhaust on cold starts either even with the stock engine but it seems most people do not sure why
