did you fill up the T-case before installing? man thats a PITA to fill up if installed in car already.
and when priming theres 2 methods I used.

Method one: same as above, everything plugged in and gas pedal and clutch on floor while cranking for 10 seconds 5 times

Method two: (my preferred way) remove spark plug, remove coil, ofcourse remove the coil pack harness, the pins is deep inside so shorting isnt really going to happen unless its a wire tuck who knows. then gas and clutch on floor 10 seconds cranking 5 times, reason why is without the spark plug in there the starter can spin the motor easier hence its easier to build pressure, also Nishan advice as to crank the engine for a minute to build the pressure in rail,. but that kinda making the starter work too hard. hence i used 10 seconds cranking 5 times,
its better to have someone check leak especially around hpfp and oil feed line in turbo and IN THE BLOCK SIDE.

then change your oil after 5 minutes of running, also MAKE SURE YOUR VVT solenoid is plugged in correctly with right plug the stick air intake black box have same connector like as the vvt, its easy to mistake it. also make sure all connection in starter is solid and you applied electrical grease in the starter signal wire,

if youre not hooking up oil catch can and just wanna start the engine, make sure you plug the hose coming from intake manifold since it will suck air and some dirt if its pointing downward, (happened to me, not good i thought my check valve will help lol)

if you have spin on oil conversion on it, you can use STP 3600, Fram 3600, Mobil 1 209a those are oil filter for mazda truck or ford ranger v6, it will fit the filter housing, thats what i run, its essential in break in period since this filter is longer and will trap more debris than the small one. get the mobil 1 or the wix

if its a brand new turbo its also good to pre oil the feed, so it doesnt run dry for seconds when starting the car,

You are right, head was not clear this morning. Injectors do not fire. Edited my previous post.

Also fram filters are the worst. Those pieces of crap fall apart inside, even when they are new.

I chose to start running the wix filter but it honestly seemed kind of small compared to what I had in my mind lol

Found out or realized that I can’t get my axles in since all my suspension is on, unfortunately.... Don’t have much left to do other than axles and fluids though so won’t be long now! :)

Well everyone I am pleased to report that my car has started its journey to being broken in! Buttoned everything up and got it all together and then took a long weekend off work so I could get her running.

I have had several set backs while trying to get it going, but none of which have seemed to be engine issues which is a good thing for sure. I have bled the brakes a few times now with very little pressure still. I am blaming it on Autozone giving me a driver side brake caliper instead of a passenger side one but I went ahead and used it anyway (trading for the right one on Tuesday). The bleeder screw is upside down because of being the wrong side so I don’t think it is bleeding properly (could be most of my problem).

I have driven it a few times now with minor issues each time but today went pretty wrong. Lost battery voltage regulation somehow and found coolant all over the driver side of the engine bay. Battery is toast and my truck battery immediately started to climb (got to 16v) and I turned it off after a few seconds of the car running. I will update later again but am going to let it dry out a bit, clean it all up to find what happened with the coolant, then see if it all drying out doesn’t fix my alternator issue of overcharging somehow.

I assume something got soaked that shouldn’t have and it caused an issue with the voltage regulation. Hoping that it dries out and I just overfilled the coolant and all is well in the next few days! If you have made it this far I will throw in a fun fact about my break in so far. I have done lots of 2nd and 3rd gear engine braking and decided to give it a little boost so I hit 5psi once to just help it seat the rings. She loved the boost but I will behave. More updates to come and suggestions welcome!!!!!

Update time again I suppose.. lol So as many of you might already know I had a slight mishap but figured out the first half. Long story short my hpfp came loose somewhat from the block and so it flung oil everywhere. That in turn caused my alternator to somehow mess up and overcharge my battery to 17.4v before I caught it. I now have a new battery in my car and the alternator plugged in and she is running!

The problem I still have is that it was showing 11.8-12.0v on my accessport the whole time I drove it. Doesn’t seem to be charging but a quick check with my voltmeter showed 12.4 at the battery and my AP is showing 11.9v. Makes me worry that it is going to overcharge it and not tell me on my AP now. Of anyone can help please let me know how to check the alternator. Battery light is on while running too. Might end up just replacing the alternator but will have to wait as I have absolutely no money unfortunately lol #MoneyPit

If you're really unsure of what the alternator is doing you could ghetto extend some wires into the car into your voltmeter and watch that. Or even just tap into the cig lighter. Then you'd have a voltmeter in the car besides what the ECU it's seeing.

Good ideas man I appreciate it. I forgot there is a local guy in town that will actually rebuild them for only like $50-75. I will most likely charge this new battery to see if it stays at full charge or if it drops over time. My Accessport for some reason isn’t acknowledging when my car turns on and turning on with it either. It shuts off with it but that’s it.... Idk seems odd but oh well. I will rebuild my alternator when I have the money at least most likely anyways.

Alright guys so I realized something odd with the car the last time I drove it. I feel like all this is related somehow but not for sure yet at this point. I haven’t owned the key fob because it was broken before I bought the car. Well 3 things I have found that arent working or arent right... the alternator isn’t regulating voltage right or isn’t even working now, my fans didn’t kick on even at like 215-220 and now when I go to lock it with my key like always it sets off the alarm on the car... If anyone has insight let me know please. My friend said he thinks it could be a bad ground somewhere.

for the fan, when i first started mine, it didnt turn on till i reach 230 made me sh*t bricks, i thought i didnt connect the connectors so i remove the plug and sprayed electrical cleaner then pushed it all the way with a lot of force making the mounting for the module cracks.

for the alternator, i trust the autoparts store tester, prob is the alternator for this car sometimes arent stock in those auto parts.

not sure if this gonna help you but for the alarm, mines alarm on my 3 whenever my battery is way below starting voltage around 9v? its start alarming till my battery dies out.

also when i first started my 6 (i didnt have my horn connected) but i think mine is alarming too whenever locking the car, i dont know how to fix it so, i just removed the battery for a day. then reconnected it, lol my hazards was on for like an hour. i know starting my car and flashing the ecu it removed it tho, doesnt happen now. not sure why, for mines i thought it was the old alarm system i removed.

Appreciate the input man. I was hoping that it could be something causing it all. I guess a low battery could definitely be causing the alarm issue. I will deal with some of this in a week or two when I have more patience about it.. haha

I used my old motor and had it built by a local racing shop in town. The motor work so far hasn’t given me any problems just my own work apparently lol Leaks seem to be centered around the hpfp and coolant octopus thing.

Figured I would give an update on my progress of the break in!

First off, I went ahead and got a new alternator to take care of the issue I had going on. That being said, I now have a new battery and alternator that are working flawlessly. I am now at 600 miles and climbing. Driving it every day and making excuses to put more mileage on the car.

I need to do a compression test so that will be next on my list of things to do and most likely my next update. Had a bolt back out of my caliper somehow on the way to work friday so loved getting stuck on the highway. 1 new bolt and she was up and running tho. Had a friend send me this....
