Other than price. What's wrong with south bend stage 3 endurance? Seems to be just heavier as stock and hold plenty of tq

If price wasn’t an issue I would probably go for the South Bend kit since I feel it would last longer.

I get that a 6 puck will hold all the power. But it's at with cost of comfort and drivability. Not trying to sell the thing

I tried out the south bend in @VTMongoose car. That thing is too heavy for my liking. Like I literally had to lift my ass up to get a leverage to press on the pedal lmao. Although, I'm a small dude and need to do more leg days.

Sounds like a broken clutch pedal before long pushing on that thing to me haha I doubt I would have trouble pushing it in but it might get old I would say.

    Hello it’s me... again...

After we got the car running I swapped out the hard line because we broke the banjo fitting at the pump during the install. I struggled with it until my local friend Phil sold me his PS pump and just like magic, it started working again lol!!

I also struggled with the axle not sitting all the way in until, again, my local friend Chuck helped me re-seated the axle and all is good again!

Btw this is the trans fluid I use. Dat smurf juice.

Now the car is ready for its first drive. I video call’d @KingScumbag; to show him car is running well. I did a few pulls and put 19psi through the motor with 1 mile on it lol. It felt good to feel boost again.

Over a few days, I buttoned up some stuff and installed DM vac block:

I hit up Pat again to ask if he could button up my PI system as I would not have the time to work on the car due to other responsibilities and he agreed to do it and told me to drop it off at his place. So I did:

So over the course of a few weeks, Pat kept me updated with all the fabrication work he did to button up the PI system

Welded up the fuel cell mount

Fab’d up a small battery tray:

    Wiring and fuel line:

    Hobbs switch for the pump:

    Pre-filter and inline pump:

    Everything buttoned up:

Since I knew the car is near completion, I decided to sell my E46 to my uncle and bought a new daily:

To be continued... the next post will be an epic one. Stay tuned!

Are you purposely having @KingScumbag build everything on your car so it doesnt pop again?

I feel like you owe him a few more Bruins tickets. Possibly a handjob too

Car seems to shift smoother for sure. Granted, I used walmart brand before because Im a cheap azz hahahha. Do it! Build your car! Don’t let your dreams be dreams!

Yea that’s really the ultimate reason. He knows what he’s doing and is in the top 10 list of the fastest speeds. His motor is still holding up great after all the runs he did! So I have confidence in him fo sho! Don’t worry I got my knee pads ready!

I guess I should just update my thread now!

So on Sept 18 @KingScumbag; trailered my car to Freektune’s shop. The timing was perfect because he had to go to Justin’s shop to pick up his car for test & tune session that day:

He told me later that day Justin will get to my car sometimes next week and I was so excited!

Since September 20 was my bday, my parents and a very close person to me decided to buy me a tool box. I did not know they were getting this for me! Completely surprised.

    Tool box unloaded:

The next day I hosted a bday party and I invited a few local Nator members and this happened!!!

You guys have no idea how surprised and excited I was!! This is why I love Nator. They’ve become more than just friends, they’re family! I can’t say thank you enough to @KingScumbag; for everything he has done!

These guys are 100% asians now. 10/10 on squat

Got a ride in @LakeSpeed6; built Skyline! Thing is also scary fast

Teaching my niece to appreciate the rice

I am so happy the car is done and running! It is SCARY FAST for me! Although, I have 2 neutrals now because we lost 2nd gear during a burnout/launch control training session lmao! I already have a trans lined up from a local friend (Phil).

    Things to do:
    - Shave down and powdercoat my spare set of calipers to accomodate 15” wheels and slicks in the future
    - Coilovers
    - Raiderfab quick latch
    - little odds and ends

    LOL fails after fails ensued.

    So TLDR:
    - I lost 2nd gear on the same day I got my car back lol!! Luckily my local buddy had a spare laying around so I bought that off him and got it installed.

    - I took a couple friends for a few pulls one night and I knew something must have come off. I started chasing idle and stalling at a stop. Came back to his garage and found an OCC hose popped off. Fixed the hose.

    - Still chasing idle. Did a few test and found that my IC piping had a crack in it. So I JB welded it LOL. It seems to not leak anymore.

    - Chasing idle still persisted, I thought my BPV was messed up so I borrowed my friend's FakeKS.

    - STILL CHASING IDLE, I had a thought since the beginning that it could have been my throttle body but wanted to see if it wasn't. Anyway, I took my CS TB off, and YEAAAAPP plate is bent. Called CS and they said they don't sell just the plate so I have to buy a new unit. I told them, screw that, I'll stay with my OEM for now. ANNNDDDD OEM TB fixed the idle chasing, figures!!

    - Car ran mint finally!! BUT everytime I do a pull, a coupler would get blown off. So out come the hairspray. I cleaned the coupler and roughed up my IC piping a bit and sprayed some hair spray on it. Seems to fix it.

    - I went on vacation and dropped my car off at my uncle's (mind you he has been helping me since the beginning by lending me his garage, tools, etc) I told him to drive the car here and there. Anyway, while I was away he took it for a couple pulls and car started bugging out. He limped it home. When I came back from vacation, I went to check on the car. Popped the hood and saw the FakeKS is just chilling in the engine bay. It popped off the cold pipe lmao. I must have installed the C-clip wrong.

    - Ordered a new HKS C-Clip FOR FREAKING $20!! (My cold pipe has HKS flange btw). Installed my Tial BOV (PROPERLY this time) back and car seems to be running minty again! Did a few pulls and nothing came off. Heyyy that's great!!! Let's gooo!

    - Came back to my uncle's house, and I found something leaking..... I thought it came from the top. Popped the hood, I found the oil filled fuel pressure gauge on the PI fuel rail is cracked and spilling everywhere. I put a zip loc bag around the gauge so it's not dripping to the ground.

    - Something is still leaking on the driver side of the car. Found out that my radiator is actually leaking on the bottom corner.... Thankfully @KingScumbag has a spare OEM radiator. I grabbed it from him yesterday and going to install it today (hopefully)

Damnnn I guess this still ends up being a long read...

BUT there's always a good side that comes out of a bad story. A while back I bought a set of Mazdaspeed coilovers from @Sho for a steal. He gave me a good deal because we will be in-laws soon. Anyway, I sent them out to be rebuilt by KW and are ready to be installed soon. Despite all these problems, I still love the car, God.. maybe I am a masochist. I'll post pics later for all your visual pleasure.
