I had the older gen ACT 6 puck clutch, was a beast to the left leg. Had the revised ACT 6 puck later which was almost stock like, just a lttle stiffer. After I put the new softer ACT clutch in I kinda missed the old stiff one, new one was kinda girly.

Welp, this has happened to me as well. For all of you guys that have replaced the cracked pedal, have you done any reinforcement in that area? I don't have a particularly heavy clutch, but mine is almost completely cracked through at this point. I'm thinking about welding a little support onto it or something to hopefully keep me from having to do this job twice.

I have read that minor reinforcement is good but not too stiffen too much as it can actually cause the firewall to give instead of the pedal which would be much worse.

@Sho has a firewall support for that as well. I'm not sure if that's a 6 thing or not though. I'm going to probably weld on an L at the front where it normally cracks I think. Maybe I'll just buy the support that @Sho had made as well and call it a day.

This is a goofy ass problem to have.

I agree, it is for sure an odd problem. I haven’t ran into this issue yet but also haven’t upgraded to a 6 puck yet. When I do I just hope it stays together so I don’t have to deal with it honestly!

Got a new pedal and welded a nice little support on it.

This sumbitch ain't breaking again. I haven't been able to find any Speed3s that've had firewall cracking issues. Seems to be a 6 thing, so I'm not going to bother with anything besides this support. I'll follow up on whether or not that was a good decision.

I take it that it's this little black bracket piece? upload_2019-12-11_12-50-0.png

Yep. Usually cracks right around the bend there, so we just added a support to the whole thing.

You just need the right tools, 24 inch long socket extension is a must. There's an upper 12mm bolt that's very hard to remove. It cost me $30 to get it welded at a shop. That's including reenforcing it.

Take the whole assembly off. Then weld it. Cheaper that way.
