It would appear that their website has changed drastically. They used to have an option to build your own custom cables with an online configurator. I can't seem to find that now. You might have to call them and see if they'll still do a custom cable order. The options I selected can be found in this quote from a previous post of mine.

Let us know how it goes. I'll try to look into it more and see what the deal with their website is.

Bringing this back. Installed these cables over the weekend. Cars been down for a while now and finally decided to work on it again. This install sucked balls lol. For anyone reading this now, with a CPE mani and PTE 5858 with 4" intake i made my bracket 2 1/8" tall and it just barely clears the intake. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet as i still have to put the interior back together but after adjusting it a few times it feels much better than stock.

Should have checked out Rey's Mazda Parts kit. Bolts in and uses really nice stuff.

If i had a welder I would have used the exact design above, its nice and simple.
Since i don't have a welder I have used 2'' square metal tubing for this bracket and it actually keeps a nice flat horizontal line up to the linkage.
i used the measurements in that drawing to drill holes to reach the nuts and bolts with wrenches and sockets.

ninja edit** these cable do not have mounting nuts they require a flange and locking collar
I bought my parts to do this similar setup from JEGs (5' cables) and McMastercarr for the joint linkage hardware

    2 of these
    (need to update)

    4 of these.

I just followed everything in this thread. Extra set of hands definitely helps for getting the cables back in and getting those two nuts back on the studs. Slide your driver seat all the way back before you take the battery and everything out..i didn't, then was too lazy to get the battery so i worked with little space lol. I also ended up getting the longest, 10mm? wrench i could find at the store to help with the 2 nuts. It's pretty straight forward. If you have huge hands good luck lol. Other than that keep a case of beer near by. Oh and don't forget locktite for the nuts on the cables. I forgot, still haven't gone back to fix that but i've only driven it a handful of times since doing them and i check to make sure the nuts are still tight to the bracket.

Definitely. I fell off for a while lol. Bought a house, got a built motor, car sat for a year and a half lol. Fixed it then broke a shift cable a month later. Had to get eye surgery in january, couldn't do anything for a couple months before or after. Still on a damn base map with Justin :bash:

Just wondering if you install the cables, and how the 60" length worked out. I believe the stock cables are 57" (per prior post), so was wondering if the extra 3" was an issue. Thanks

Curious if anyone has used a 56 inch cable from midwest? A custom 57.5 inch cable with everything that yall have gotten was quoted at 91$ each, which is a bit ridiculous for one cable IMO.

I am reviving this thread now that I have an MS6.

I have quotes out to multiple companies for shift cables using the specs listed in this thread. I am currently working on a quote for brackets as well. I am hoping to come in under $180 all in for the 2 cables and the bracket.

If you see this, have an MS6, and want custom cables please shoot me a DM or reply to this post. If I can get more on my order we can all probably save a little cash and have some nice replacement cables for cheap. I will update as I get quotes.

I would be interested in a set as long as some testing and pictures would be provided by you. I only say this because i have already replaced them with used oem ones and we all know how fun it can be. Thanks.

Well the way I’m doing this is I am getting cables made EXACTLY to the specs that were mentioned farther up in this thread, that have been proven to fit fine and work. I would also be having them include the joints on the end of the rods, and the cables would be sent to me ready to install minus a bracket and length adjustments that would have to be made on the car by the owner (like mentioned in the thread earlier).

In doing it this way, I would simply be ordering a bulk amount of cables and sending them out to whoever was interested, and I would not be making any kind of profit on this. I would simply be doing the legwork on getting things made, as we would get a discount because I am ordering more than one set of cables.

TL;DR I will place the order for cables all at once and be done with it, this isn’t something I plan on doing more than once.

Ok so cables but no bracket. In your original post it said the bracket also. Just trying to get a kit that has it all honestly. I can adjust them no problem. Thanks.

I’m sorry if I didn’t explain good enough, I am half asleep in bed right now.

I will be having brackets made as well, they will just be from a different source and not made by the people making the cables. I have quotes out for a few places for them just like the cables.

I would be ordering the amount of brackets for the amount of cables I order.

So I would be sending you 2 cables, and a bracket for the transmission.

I’ll keep this thread updated as things progress. I have one quote for cables so far but it’s a tad high, waiting on one other quote and then I just need to get the brackets quoted and then go from there.

Just got my quote back from Cable Craft, this would be the best place to get cables besides Midwest Control, which still has not gotten back to me. I’ll poke them tomorrow just to get 2 competing quotes.

Attached is the pricing PER CABLE not including brackets. I’m still working on that quote.
If I was to guess, the kit all in will be a little over $300. Material costs are through the roof right now so no wonder these are not very cheap.
