New to the forum, figured I' put together a build of my speed6. Or more so the destruction and rebuild of my MS6.
I purchased the MS6 in January of 2014, it had ~60k miles on it. Came with a CP-e FMIC, Full exhaust (CP-e?), HPFP, CobbV2, and a Mazdaspeed CAI.

The first thing I did was installed a wideband to the downpipe (I didn't know at the time the AP could view this) and Sure Dreadnaught, Juggernaught, and RMM.

May of 2018 I cleaned the valves with the walnut media which worked quite well and picked up a GT3071r that I planned to install at some point. I also replaced the AC compressor and such, I had a cracked line and wanted AC for my future trip to NC.

Every June my family vacations in Oak Island NC and I drove my car down in 2015. The morning we left to come home there was a massive rainstorm that left puddles all over the road. My sister wanted to start the drive back home. As we were leaving we went thru a puddle way deeper than we thought and water got sucked up into the engine and hydro-locked it. We call AAA and get it towed to a shop. We pul the plugs, suck out the water, and after some time the car starts. We make it ALL the way back to upstate NY. I go on a business trip to KY. I drive the car to work for a week (~2 miles each way) and on that Friday the car felt funny. I decided when I get home from work I'll do a leak-down test on the engine to see whats up. As I leave work my rod decided it had enough and let loose, I was slowly accelerating and at ~2.5k at the time. I used up all my luck.

I was obviously very upset and sad, but thankful it let go on me near my house rather than in NC or somewhere in between. I had read that if you feel any vibration in the clutch peddle to check it out ASAP, I had learned my lesson there.
I picked up a 08 MS3 that had VVT issues and crashed a piston into a rod. I thought (foolishly now) that I could just put my cylinder head on the block of the MS3, put it back in my MS6, slap on the GT3071r and be good. In the end I just fixed the cylinder head of the MS3, drove it around for a bit, and sold it to fund the MS6 project. It was a fun car, learned what all the talk about torque steer was too.

I purchased a used block w/cradle in 2016. I had the block honed, deck'd, and cleaned. the head was deck'd, and cleaned. The crankshaft was polished and inspected for damage. I also had the shop do this dye check to look for cracks in the block and head, everything came out great.

I began to order all the internals, I did coat the rust-prone parts with oil while I did this. I put with S6P3 Mahle 4032 pistons and H-Rods. I went with these pistons over the more widely used 2618 Aluminum pistons because I was worried about piston wobble on card starts on cold mornings. Looking back on this now I'm never going to daily this car again so I really didn't need to go this route. I also got the differential bearing caps. I got the engine together and was really excited. It was my first time building an engine from the ground up. I had built he MS3 head but this was way more involved.

Turbo Size Comparision because everyone does it.

Spring of 2018 I put the engine back in and slowly put all the pieces back together. I was ready to start it in October. Which it did surprisingly enough, the MAF isn't calibrated as I installed a 3" intake.

But there was a problem, my fuel pump wouldn't prime when I turned the key to the on position. I got it to run by jumping the Main Circuit Relay. I got dishearted at this point and stopped working on the car. My wife got a new vacuum, and pregnant.

I also in the time bought a 2nd Gen CRV as my daily. It had a crunchy 2nd gear so I rebuilt the tranny. I also put a 6th gear into while rebuilding it and that was pretty cool.

I'm finally getting back to the Mazda. I can still get it to run by jumping the relay but I think putting a switch to manually jump the relay is bad form. I'm now tracing out the wire to see if I pinched the circuit anywhere. The relay is getting the 12V supply but its not energizing. I've been through the car looking for loose connections. I'll continue to update this as I get further with the car.

Any troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated as well.

Make sure the fuel pump resistor is plugged in and working.

The one for the low-speed fuel pump setting (bolts to the frame under the TMM)? Yeah, that one is working correctly, I've even jumped/bypassed that one to make sure.

I came across a wiring diagram for the Mazda6 MPS, I'm thinking its got to be similar enough. So I'll start tracing things out with this.
I do have the entire document which I'll upload separately.

EDIT: uploaded the wrong part of the wiring diagram.
