The rate of air exiting the valve cover seems to be in line with the rate at which it exits the exhaust (just smaller diameter outlet). That's why a bunch of oil is coming out with it; the flow is quite substantial.

As for the final hone, it's a brand new factory block so whatever the block had done to it at the factory.

I'm betting the vast majority of people that had subbed to this thread have already unsubbed by now, but (and don't get your hopes up) things are leaning towards obtaining a third engine for this car in the future. If such an event were to take place, there would be a complete redesign of the entire engine, accounting for all the failures and missteps encountered along the way.

There are, of course, many possible futures in which either nothing happens with the car, or something negative happens and I wind up having to get rid of it; but there is one in which I keep it and refine what I've already done.

So far the game plan for the near future is to send some money to certain family members, then build out a computer rack for work / education / entertainment purposes, then some house related shit and from there I don't really have much else planned.

The computer itself will be a significant investment, probably taking upwards of six months to a year to finish paying off (once the time comes to buy parts).

That said, and if anyone is still watching / listening, I do have a question that is directly related to a Frankenstein V2 build: How much can the head be decked safely and support mid to high 3 digits in horsepower?

Also, if anyone has any other suggestions regarding the project, I'm all ears (eyes).

Maybe @Tomas knows how much the head can be machined/decked before being compromised.

I've only ever been to 400 though, and that was one cold and perfect night.

Nah I make more power than stock, but less torque than a tuned stock turbo car.

The bigger issue with taking too much off the head while decking is eventually the timing cover will no longer bolt up. But many people have shaved off 2 thousanths multiple times before running into that. But now that you can get a thicker HG, you can kinda make up for that

I was actually considering a thinner head gasket. Might be feasible to elongate the bolt holes and shave down the timing cover.

Thinner sounds like a bad idea.

Why's that? Do they not hold? Keep in mind I'm not looking to go over 400 WTQ, ever.

I would not see any issues with a stock HG at that lower power but I would def not try and get one thinner than that. Cometic might make one that is same size as stock too.

Smoke now comes with lots of KR, and there's more smoke too. Seems to only happen really bad when accelerating under low to no vacuum.

I'm thinking ringland(s) but not sure; I'm expecting my next oil level check to be significantly lower than the one I did before this trip.

    Thoughts?

No, just not focused on doing anything with it. Adding a couple quarts of oil per tank of gas, you'd think it was a 2 stroke.
