New tires, replaced a well worn set of PS4S with the new Pilot Sport A/S 4. Dipped the wheels gunmetal. Changed oil (PUP).

Meguiars stuff is usually really good except they tend to used filler in some of their polished and compound in my experience.
I like to use menzerna products. I used their 2500 and 3500 most of the time. If I really need to the 400 is a nice heavy cut, doesn't dry out as fast as the 1000 for me. I fin there products to have a nice working time(don't dry out easily) and easy wiping off. For light stuff I found that the 3500 and a lake county green pad works out really well. Even works good for me on soft black plaint(Nissan, Audi, Toyota).

Thank you for the suggestions @Orangatang! I've only ever hand waxed a car myself before. Ive never tried a power polisher as I've hear horror stories of burning the paint or clear coat.

I'm sure I can do it myself though...just need to find time.

I have a to-do list that never seems to get shorter.

As long as you use a DA orbital and not a rotary polisher you should be fine. What are you trying to do, get rid of all OE orange peel?

:( Haha, I have been...but then I decide I need to do this or that.

When I start projects I finish them...built a garage last year, but wanted it insulated and drywalled. So worked on that with my dad. But then I noticed a low spot in the concrete (punchlist item I need to fix) that collected water during the first winter causing start of mold, so I decided it needed a mold/mildew resistant paint, which meant mudding and taping. Then I said, I need more ventilation in here so changed the picture window to a slider and will look at getting a ventilation fan installed hooked to a humidistat, lol. As you can see, the list grows and grows.

Now I'm working on garage organization so that I can move crap from the basement into the garage while still maintaining ability to park two cars because me and the girlfriend want to develop the basement.

    Life is good, but busy!

I'm just looking to get rid of some of the micro-swirls in the clear coat.

To be honest, it's a bit nitpicky for a DD with 123,000 miles and surviving 8 Canadian winters. Haha, it's in pretty good condition to he honest.

Sound alike you just need a good polish on a random orbital, check this out

Now if you really want an AMAZING shine then you use multiple pad types and polish and they have other videos too. But just the one pass looks good

Put on my winter tires because we've had our first snow and it's -7 at night now :( also got the car krown coated. Had her at the dealership to look into warranty work and they were surprised to hear I winter drove it because it didn't look that way, guess the krown is working

@Awafrican, I'm starting to develop rust on the inside bottoms of my doors and the rear wheel arches. I've applied some rust check to those areas myself as a stop-gap before getting some paint supplies to fix those areas up (non-visible so who cares how it ends up looking).

Just curious how much a guy should pay for Krown protection in Canada.

Also just got our first snow and got new winter tires, but having a lot of issues with the shop that did them. Threw out my old TPMS sensors and didn't properly mount one of the tires to the rims. So I'm now on Day 5 of trying to resolve some of these issues...

Got the downpipe removed (damn thing is welded to the exhaust 3” piping all the way back) lol
So I ALMOST got that out

NGK iridium plugs I’ve got 2 new boxes figured I’d do both cars

Am I trippin’ or are these camshafts nicer than the ones in my 1st gen speed 6?
    Look like newer CX-7?

I know they’re all *universal* but eh
    Maybe I’m trippin

Completed in the last couple of weeks:

    1) New Nokian Hakkapeliita R3 winter tires for my car - I believe they are 205/50R17
    2) Took my car in to get a Krown Rust Control treatment...does it ever stop dripping oil everywhere? My car is leaking oil like a Land / Range Rover.

Need to investigate an intermittent issue with my proximity key. Might have the dealership change the brake fluid and coolant while I'm there...I know I know...I could do it myself.

It'll leak for about a week lol, super fun but I've done mine 5/7 years maybe 6/7 years and had it at the dealer a few weeks ago and they thought I didn't winter drive it so worth it imo

Nice...I'm hoping it slows the rust down a bit. I had the hatch repainted this summer and I found some rust developing on the inside-bottom portion of the passenger front door.

Also, found a bit of rust developing on the rear wheel arch. The seam sealers have been cracking and developing rust in those spots.

Finally, waiting list was three cars deep for the space. Now the fun stuff>> PXL_20201107_001614601.jpg PXL_20201107_002142913.jpg

But the horizontal surfaces need cleaning first>> PXL_20201107_001900570.jpg PXL_20201107_001849137.jpg

Finally the parts can be installed>> PXL_20201107_005023977.jpg PXL_20201107_005042784.jpg

Been waiting, really want to apply the nasa tape to the AP heat shield. The spark plugs are complaining so great time while I remove TMIC. The beauty part first :)

Changed the oil, added 2 fluid oz of viscosity modifier to the Redline MTL 75w80 in my transmission to quiet the LSD chatter, and replaced a few burnt out bulbs.

Next item will be to tackle some of the rust that is just starting to develop on the bottom of the passenger's side door and rear fender.

Nothing sexy for now. Going to start mapping out my next mods...at 127,000 miles thinking about upgrading to a BNR S3 and doing the downpipe next spring. I'd be doing this as a preventative maintenance and upgrade path...not sure how much life the K04 has in it and dont want to be put into a situation where I need to put in another K04 because I needed the car running ASAP.

I'm struggling though, because I was thinking about selling my car this past summer with the discovery of the rust.

So fresh batch of royal purple and new oil filter in. Also collected an oil sample that I'll send to Blackstone, made a good mess with that lol
