For the last month or so I have been having big issues with my driver side seatbelt. It hardly retracts and requires that I manoeuvre it manually to go all the way. When I take it off at a parking spot, the belt hangs pretty badly. Has anyone else had this problem ? Does anyone know how I fix it ?

    Your seat belt is dirty.

You can pull the slack all the way off of the belt and put a pin or clip at the shoulder guide to keep it from retracting.

Dunk all of your seatbelt in a bucket of water and degreaser, let it sit for an hour.

You will need to strain the dirt and water off of the belt. I used a short pcv pipe with a slit cut into it. You may have to do it twice.

Once your belt stops releasing dirt, dry it WELL with a towel. You can go the extra mile and spray some scotchguard on the belt.

If you really like fucking with your car, you can remove the cover for the seat belt pillar and use some compressed air to blow any dust or dirt out of the seatbelt coil.

    That should fix it.
