The 6 was dropped off yesterday by rollback and the boss lady is pretty excited to get started on it. The car is in pretty good shape. Minus the engine. Lol. No rips in the leather. One very small ding in the passesnger door, little rust on the passenger side wheel well and a scratch on the drivers side rear quarter. All of this can be fixed fairly easy. Picked the car up for what I think is a great deal. Motor is locked up but it has new CST4, CS catless down pipe,CS race pipe, CS injector seals, he said new injectors but I assume he had them serviced, AP, CS hpfp internals, Sure Motorsports lower rear diff mount, CS 3” intake, CS egr delete, new rear bilstein shocks, Damond vta occ and 4 new comp2 tires.
Probably won’t add much to it other than fmic, catback exhaust, bov, clutch while it’s a part and an engine of course. Still need to do some research to find out what should be replaced as preventative on the 6. Then start the tuning process with PD.
I haven’t checked the engine yet to see what happened or if it’s even salvageable. As soon as we don’t have snow ass deep to a giraffe(exaggeration) and temps in the teens I will check in to it more. Maybe sooner if I get my 3 motor swap done soon.
If there are common issues with parts on these cars that should be replaced before it breaks , feel free to let me know. BCDEB0A9-6415-4B5F-A232-ADFC4DCAD623.jpeg 19ADCE72-325F-4793-A8F4-5DD6D99B2E5B.jpeg A3BE3335-D357-4B36-9850-8E994CC97D74.jpeg

If the wifey ever plans on launching the car, billet bearing caps for the transfer case and a DSS driver rear axle is recommended. Other than that, looks like you have a solid base with all the upgrades it already has

I couldn’t pass it up. I couldn’t buy the parts he put on it for what I gave for the whole car. They was all installed in the last 6 months. He gave me the file on the car that had all the service receipts and everything bought for the car since it was new. The motor was replaced in 2017 with a used motor from a cx7. Dealership replaced 2 injectors in 2019 I believe it was.
I’m not sure if she will ever launch the car or not but I know her asshole husband will. Looks like I better look in to the bearing caps and axle.

Waiting on pistons. I believe I have everything now except the pistons and rear dss axles. Pistons are on back order. CS FMIC kit is supposed to be here today. (Waiting on UPS as I type this). Still debating which turbo to run. Right now it’s a waiting game. If my rotating assembly comes back from being balanced before the pistons arrive I’m just going to use the built motor for the speed3 and put it in the 6 with the cst6, jmf v2 and CS ex manifold. If the pistons come first I’ll bore this block and throw the rods an pistons in it with the CST4.

Ok so change of plans. My speed 3 is still chugging along pretty good and I really want to get the 6 up and running. So I stole the 6 from my wife. I got my rotating assembly back today from being balanced so I believe I’m going to use it to get the 6 up and running. Good plan. Right?
    Build will be
    Manley H-Tuff rods
Manley extreme duty pistons with .250 pins
    Eco boost crank
    ARP main studs
    ARP Head studs
Ported head with stock valves for now and 70lb springs
Billet caps for the transfer case
    Mazda oil and water pump.
Mazda gasket kit (need to check on head gasket)
    X-clutch twin disk
    JMF v2
    Corksport exhaust manifold
    CST6
    Tial 44mm wg
    CS DP
    DSS axles
    Hellcat fuel pump
    Idx1050 injectors
    CS FMIC
CS 3.5” intake( may switch out for 4” if I need to)
    CS ebcs
    CS 72mm throttle body
only thing I don’t have to complete this is the dss axles, 70 lb valve springs, figure out my fittings I need to order to run the PI and I need to check about using the Mazda head gasket. Thought I read a while back that it needed to be upgraded to a cometic if over 500hp or something like that.
Going to start assembly on the engine this weekend so I’ll post some pics as things progress.

nice, also don't forget the 3/3.5bar MAP - CS map and EBCS seems to fail frequently would not recommend.

Really? I have the 4.5 bar map sensor to run with it. I run their 3.5 sensor with my CST4 on my speed 3 with a grimmspeed ebcs and haven’t had any issues. That’s why I figured I’d stick with their stuff

Any map sensor you recommend ? What’s the issue with the CS ebcs? Maybe I’ll just swap and use the grimmspeed off my 3

The ebcs should be fine. At the end of the day its just a mac valve like grimmspeed and everyone else uses.

The map sensors have a pretty high failure rate compared to bosch tho.

If you do decide to go with a different map sensor, hit up Eric at Mazdaspeed wire tuck. He sells the needed plug n play harness for the Bosch sensors as well as the Bosch sensors themselves and can bundle them for ya

I don’t really get on Facebook or any of that stuff but I had my wife do it. I thought it said he wasn’t taking any new orders or something like that. I wanted to get the coil harness for that coil relocation bracket that I ordered from late night racing. What’s the best place to buy factory harness plugs/terminals/receptacles? I could make a lot of this stuff myself just not sure where to get the parts.

Bosch map sensor is the way to go, there's plenty of kits for them, edge Autosport and JBR both sell them pigtails edge sells the map sensors too.

Hes not taking orders on the wire tucks anymore.
I messaged him. Hes currently sold out of the map sensor adapters. But said to hit up jordan at overspeed for the map sensor itself

Got some pretty parts in the mail yesterday from Late Night Racing. I love the oil cap. The size is perfect. 3F803A7C-FA3D-4BAE-B643-AC8F0A994282.jpeg
