I'm wondering if Ford RS calipers will fit our car and have a strong suspicion that they do. Just wondering if anyone has done this yet and how to get around the 5x108 PCD and different center bore issues?

I just went to the junkyard today and picked up some Mazda 5 rear caliper brackets for $8! I know the ST guys can do the Mazda5 bracket trick too which got me thinking about Ford interchangeability.

I know our calipers say FordMotoCo on the backs of them, but if my memory serves me correctly, there was a large thread on the old forums about using Volvo brakes or something. It might have been about efforts to get CTSV brakes to work I'm not entirely sure.

If it was me I'd be making moves to get v70r/s60r brakes to work because I think we share a little more in common.
This is all speculation and be trying dust away the cobwebs from what I've read several years ago so I could be mixing 2 different threads.

The Volvo connection is that even though the calipers were different they used the same or close enough size brake pad which appeared to be similar to the stock ms3 compound but much cheaper

I did some research yesterday. The Mazdaspeed has a center bore of 67.1, Focus RS has a center bore of 63 and there is a difference in rotor size, 11.something for the speed and 13 something for the Focus so you'd have to figure something out for the rotors to use those calipers.

Maybe the best option would be to use wheel bearings/hub from a Focus in order to drop the center bore down for the rotor.

But I think they could work. Your main issue is going to come down to the rotors. One of my co workers has a Focus ST, I think a 2016 model. I will throw his car up on a lift tomorrow and measure the distance between the caliper mounting bolts to see if it is close to ours. I'm more than certain it probably is cause all the Ford/Mazda focus, edge, tribute, fusion etc look like they have all the same spindles and suspension design.

The RS has the revoknuckle spindles so it likely is completely different from everything else on the platform

ah, thank you for the correction. That makes a little more sense.

Did anything ever come of the CTSV brake endevours?

IIRC there were custom caliper brackets needed, never enough interest to generate a group buy for someone to actually start selling them.
