    Hi

I am looking for anyone who might have expert knowledge of the workings of the advanced entry card key systems

Has anyone ever posted about the inner workings of the advance key fob keyless entry and keyless ignition in a way that might help me diagnose where to look for a solution. such as what prevents a programmed key from opening the door or turning the ignition on?

Sumary, The advance entry key over the last while sometimes does not activate the ignition or door entry. Sometimes if i tap the key it works.

What does work: Fob unlock and lock buttons, and the physical keys

    -The remote batteries are good
-I have verified the electrical contact pads are touching the battery
-I have tried thin paper shim to keep the battery negative pad more secure to the battery.
-I have checked both driver and passenger and trunk push buttons. I repaired corroded connectors at the driver/passenger buttons and appear good now and ohms test good. My trunk button is only 6 months old, it was internally damaged but working since replaced.

Mazda dealers have had to try many times to pair used and even new card keys to the car, and this has been the same issue on and off with two mazdaspeed 6's I have.

I recently had a private locksmith try and re-pair my keys. He did some sort of system diagnostic that came back all good for the security system. The fob worked until I got home. I am still left with only the fob unlock and lock buttons, or a Physical Key. The locksmith seemed sure the issue is with the car's modules.

    Thanks
