Hey guys, having some odd issues that have been getting worse slowly over time. Just real quick, last year my car was running great, power was there, torque and all. But then my ecu got fried from wires melting. Got them repair and got a "Mazda dealer certified" used ecu. Ever since then my car hasn't been as powerful and I've gained more troubles. I've also put a built long lock in with injectors and seals and problems still are occurring, but worse.

When I try to start the car cold, it hesitates and stalls if I don't help the Rpms untill it gets warm. There isn't that "cold start". After it's completely warm it idles fine. But when I turn it off then try to start it again(after its warm) it's a very slow and hesitant start. Like I said about the ecu I feel like it could be a faulty ecu. It could be fuel pump but I'm leaning towards ecu since all the issues I'm having are symptoms of a bad one.

Another thing is if I go above 6400 or higher my car cuts all power and slams me against the windshield lol. I know i don't need to go that high but sometimes it just happens lol

I'm currently getting tuned my Justin and yes these things were happening before and after tuning with other people.

I would really appreciate it if you have any suggestions and maybe y'all could tell me what logs I could upload. Thanks guys

Ps: I sometimes get a misfire code for cly 2. I swapped the coil packs from 1-2 and same event happens. Sparks are new and gapped correctly.

i'm pretty slow witted sometimes, but could you put it in more of a timeline format? did you get the long block before or after the ecu fried? the long block made things worse? or it's just a coincidence? looking back, were there signs of problems before your ecu fried that have just been amplified recently?

This would help a lot. trouble shooting is always made easy when there is a solid timeline of events to help diagnose any issue.

Of course, I've explained this so many times to other people I guess I am getting lazy with explaining times lol.

Last May: my car was relentless and running perfect on stock block. But then, ecu fried from brown and green wires getting melted because I'm dumb and forgot to put the heat shield back on after putting downpipe on and some other things. Got a used ecu from the dealership. Had them flash it and all that good stuff. Since the day I've gotten it back my car has been running funny and performance has dropped significantly.

Car stayed like this for a while. Untill about 4-5 months ago. It's started doing what I explained above. Checked compression and it was low but not horrible. Ive had a built block for a long time sitting in the garage. So I had that put in. Hoping I could fix these issues along with being built. But nope, things are still happening. I've had the block for 2-3 months now.

There were no signs that could explain what is happening.
If I need to add anymore don't hesitate to tell me, I'm writing this while working lol

Have you tried removing those side moldings? They are pretty much known to blow motors. True Story.

Also, get some datalogs and post em up.

    What is current compression?

Have you thought about getting another ECU? Considering al this started with the change of ECU? what about a new harness?

I bought another ecu from a guy on the Facebook forums. The dealership couldn't get it to flash. Lol so I'm stuck with trying to get Rid of this ecu and try again

Try @FattiMotorWorks for a used ECU.

realistically, I have no need for it, I have not seen anyone anywhere else in need of an 07 ecu and cluster. It came off my old car whos parts where whored out for cheap to help the community. It serves nobody sitting on a shelf collecting dust. Shoot me your name and addy in a PM with your phone number and I'll ship it out today.
[doublepost=1465227291][/doublepost]Also, where at in Maryland are you? I know a hand full of guys up there with plenty of smarts to help out.

So, was fooling with the port and look at the hpfp sensor voltage, it's reading 0.0.
Isn't it supposed to be around 5.0?
