I'm trying to see if I can squeeze as close to 4 cu ft after port and sub displacement in the hatch right at the rear seat line

Box will be tuned somewhere around 28-32 Hz still trying to decide

@my2k13speed3 So what would you recommend running ? I'm currently looking at 2 CT sound 8's (Strato / Meso) or 2 Sundown Sa-8's? I'm looking to get a box built maybe sometime this week. And cannot decide. I'm going 2 8s because of space. My trunk will still be useable. So, that's always a plus.

I've seen and read a lot of great things on the ct meso 8's but the sundown as-8's are more proven.

What type of amp you looking to run? Those 8's can take some serious power

I'm still trying to figure brands out but 1200-1500W. I think 1500 would be max ideal for my setup.

    Soundqubed 1200.1 will be on sale for $220 between 11/25 - 12/01

Not sure on your budget but DC audio, twisted sounds and synergy audio are all nice Korean board amps

I don't really have that many pictures of the install but I ran 4 gauge power wire though the big ass rubber grommet on the passenger side. Mounted the fuse on the battery box.

Ran RCAs along the driver side

Yeah I know that grommet you are talking about. I looked at it today, it goes to this plastic piece underneath the glove box/fuse panel. Do you just force wire through there? The plastic piece holds the AC lines and there is no room. That's where I'm confused ?

I have a gen 2 and there are is nothing going through that, I made some cuts in the grommet with a box knife and drilled s hole just large enough to feed the power wire through.

My car is not with me right now otherwise i would take a picture of it

Use a Christmas tree bit to the appropriate size on the plastic piece of the grommet pair (there's two pieces). On the rubber piece (the other half of the pair), slice an X-shaped hole with a sharp razor blade in the appropriate region to press the cable through. This is exactly what I did when I ran methanol wires in wiring loom through that grommet during my install. Taking a 10mm wrench to remove the front bolt on the heat shield back and to the left of the valve cover will give you a little bit more room to work; you can flex the shield out of the way a little bit that way.

Holy shit those are insane!! Almost no point past 18s in my opinion... wish I could fit both 15s in the speed but i can't loose my back seat so just putting one in a 3 cu ft box after sub and port displacement

Awesome choice, I like how you can strap two amps together. How are you going to run it? The sub is a 2 ohm Dual Coil so are you going to run it 4 ohm for the cleaner THD, or you going with a 1 ohm?

For now I'm going to run the Fi Q at 2 ohms (dual 1-ohm sub), amp is certified at around 1400-1500 watts RMS at 2 ohms.

Eventually when I get my Iraggi alternator installed and XS Power batteries going to look into picking up a pair of 12s and run the amp at 1 ohm or pick up a 2nd one and strap them.

I'm a bass head at heart so my system will evolve over the next few months. Starting to look into running front stage active with a dsp never done that before
