I just picked up a bone stock 1993 2wd 12v cummins with 116k on it as a work/daily/tow rig for a pretty damn good deal. I plan on building it into a compound turbo set up but need to do maintaince to it first. To start is fix minor issues with it and do a full service. All fluids and filters drained and swapped with syntheic. After that going to go through to suspension and make sure all checks out. I plan on fully stripping the paint to bare metal to see what's left, fixing and replace what is needed. Full paint job back to factory blue, unlike what some idiot did to it. After every thing is where I want it I will look at power mods. I'm more after having a clean old truck that will last as long as I want to keep it than power. Mpgs and low egts are the mods I will start with as I drive 30 to 40k a year. Figured I would share this here and have some where to log progress. Pics to come
